OT - itunes playlist problem

Having updated to itunes 9 I have noticed a problem with playlists that include podcasts

Although they appear okay on the itunes library they are not synced to the ipod.

I have found a way around this but hopefully Apple will fix this soon

1.Connect your iPhone or iPod and sync to iTunes 9.
2.Now in iTunes in the left hand menu under 'Devices', click on your iPod.
3.Then click the 'Podcasts' tab.
4.Leave 'Sync Podcasts: ticked.
5.Untick 'Automatically include...'
6.Tick the appropriate playlists to sync in the 'Include Episodes from Playlists' section.
7.Then click the 'Snyc' button.

I'm having a problem just downloading itunes9. I got an error message and windows shut down. Any ideas?

Thank you! DH and I are both upset that the new iTunes 9 doesn't support podcasts on playlists the way the older versions did.

I'll try this in the morning.

Pal-Mickey,

I don't know if this will help, but completely turning off your pc and bringing it back up frequently clears up installation problems. Try it. It may work for you.

Are you running Zone Alarm firewall by any chance?
Others have reported that they need to disable until after install
