I now have my I-pad and am enjoying it. Does anyone have anyone have any favorite apps that work well. One in particular, is one to check the markets and all of their ups and downs. Any must haves?

I love my iPad! Dh and I both have one and the kids fight us for them ;)

We like tune in radio, flickster for finding movies, drop box for storing and sharing photo's, the weather network app (make sure to add all your vacation destination apps so you can dream ;). ibear timer as a countdown to vacations and such, recipe book is my all time fav for storing my recipes and the allrecipes app is good too for finding recipes. We also have an app called convert units that has been very helpful. Oh and there's the kijiji and wag jag apps!

Just remember... Whatever you are trying to do, whatever you are looking for.... Th ere's an app for that :):rotfl2:

Flipboard. The Air Canada and United apps are handy if you use those airlines. Documents to Go allows you to sync many kinds of files with your PC or Mac. :)

Yes.... Forgot about flip board..... Then there is also the southwest app, kayak both the search app and flight status app, trip advisor, shazam is a cool one too..... If you are listening to a song you can use that app to find the name of the song.

Does anyone know if there's an APP to teach kids about money? ie, learn the coins & dollars. Learn how to make change, etc.

I like using BIG OVEN and All Recipes for cooking. They are just excellent because of all of the reviews. I also have I DECLARE for customs reminders, air miles, and Bump, where you can share apps with other people. I also have a few Disney apps too, but mostly I use my iPad for cooking and for recipes. Hope this helps!

If you like magazines, check out Zinio---with it, your device becomes a magazine e-reader, in colour. I recommend you first go to Zinio.com on your computer, where you can register, then after you do that, go to the App Store on your iPad so you can also get the Zinio app---you can read the magazines on both your computer and your device (I don't have an iPad, but an iPhone, and I have the app on my iPhone and also on my new Kobo Vox, as well as on my PC...."My Library" is accessible on all the devices).

Up in the top right corner, when you're on the Zinio web site, you'll see a flag....you can set your country there so you'll get Canadian prices.

It is a blast to get digital copies of my favourite magazines. No more piles of magazines on my coffee table! :cool1:

The subscription prices are good and you can also buy individual issues, plus there are some freebies too. There's a great selection of titles too, including some of my favourites like Canadian Living, Food Network Magazine, O Magazine, Esquire, National Geographic Traveller and others. What's also cool is that the links in the articles and ads are really links---just click/tap on them and off you go.

I never knew about Zinio until about a week ago and now I think it's great.

Edited to add: I do all my purchases while on my computer on the Zinio site; I find that the easiest method. Then, I just go to my device and there they are!

The app I use the most is Sorcerer Radio. :thumbsup2 When I am working away at my desk I keep my Touch or iPad connected to the docking station so I can listen to Disney all day.

My kids think I am pathetic...

I found an app called "Disney Photo a Day". Each day it unlocks a new photo of WDW or DL. I love seeing the new photo every morning.

I greatly prefer atomic browser over the stock safari browser. Also Facebook has a nice app, Bloomberg is good for financial information, undercover tourist has a good Disney wait time app

I like the Undercover Tourist App for US & IOA, I also use the Tripit App which when you are booking your trip, you just forward the emails to tripit and it logs everything for you, it even allows you to check-in online if the airline is one of their listed. We also like Flixster and the kids love the 4 in a row app.
