OT How to find out if someone is Insolvent/Bankrupt

Hi,

I know its a bit of a funny question but I was wondering if anyone could tell me how you can find out for definite on the internet or something if someone has gone bankrupt/insolvent. I think something is being kept from my parents and I would like to find out for definite as they need to know, as I know something is going on in the courts at the moment involving this person and their hotel.

when someone is made bankrupt it is usually listed and announced in the newspaper.

you can check on the insolvency register

http://www.insolvency.gov.uk/eiir/IIRNameSearchMapIE.asp

on the drop down select all courts and all offices, if this person has been declared bankrupt or has a petition, it will be listed here.
