I'm having a birthday party for DD who'll be 8. There will be girls and boys at her party.
Does anyone have any neat/cool game ideas - we're passed hot potato and pin the tail on the donkey. (Though 2 yrs ago, we did a Princess theme. We did Poinsoned Apple - Pass It On and pin the Crown on the Princess.Go figure!)
Ideas?????

What about taking a small unisex gift and wrapping it up in layers....you play music when the music stops the child gets to unwrap one layer of paper (you can use different coloured wrapping paper, newpaper, tissue paper, etc.) keep going until all the paper is off, and the one who unwraps the last layer wins the prize. What about having them make a art project, something that both boys and girls can do. A good one is beaded animal kits...you use string or plastic lace and follow a pattern and then they can make a salamander, or a snake..e.tc I think you can get the kits at Wal-mart. Another game can be a scavenger hunt...with clues and a prize at the end.
I hope this helps.

Your best bet is to pick a theme - then try searching for games and party ideas - one of the best sites I have found is birthdaypartyideas.com - they are amazing and have a variety of themes and games.

Two years ago I did a Harry Potter sleepover party for my god daughter and last year it was a survivor themed party. It can be a lot of work but it can also be very rewarding when you get that postivie feedback from the kids.
