OT - Gift ideas for 9/10 year old boys

I'm hoping you guys can help me out. I'm really struggling on what to buy my twin nephews for Christmas and their upcoming 10-year birthdays (right after Christmas). I've bought them Star Wars legos the last few years. My brother told me to get them more legos but I feel like that idea is getting a little old. What in the world are boys into at that age? I have no idea because I only have girls. TIA!!

For boys that are really into Lego, they NEVER get old. My DS reads the Lego catalogues like they are magazines.

There are some great new Lego Star Wars The Clone Wars sets out there.

If they are gamers, you could get them the Lego Video Games, there's Star Wars, Indiana Jones, and a new Batman version. There is also a new Clone Wars video game, which is rated E10+. The new video game, the Force Unleashed is T, so may not be appropriate. Depends on the boy.

Back on Lego. We got DS the Brick Master club. He gets a new set (smaller set) every other month that can't be bought in stores. It is only for the BM club. It comes in the mail. It's so exciting to get mail! It also comes with a special magazine that has some really great ideas for Lego building.

That's a new twist. Especially since their b-days are so close to Christmas, it's a gift that will keep coming throughout the year!

You can order the boys a subscription to Lego's BrickMaster club for $40. The child will then get a Lego magazine and exclusive (small-comparable in size to the $5 kits at Target/Walmart) lego kit every two months for a year. I signed DS7 up for one of his Christmas presents.

Another good idea for a Lego maniac is http://www.box4blocks.com. It's a series of sieves to help sort the Legos by size. MIL is getting that for DS7 and his 10 year-old cousin.

So, there's two options for Lego maniacs that they might not already have.
