There you go, they are too keep the noise down as DCA is in a residentital zone.

Would it be a "keep clean" shield as well? LOL My gosh, I hope no one gets sick on that ride or they will have quite the view! :rotfl2:

They don't smell that great.. your post opens a new theory :lmao: .

Yay! This is the second time I've seen my name in a thread title.

Thanks boom :thumbsup2

Haha THats funny. " We have decided to put in place the shields for the double the fun!"

they can also antipatchy's inferno shield;)

I got to go to the opening of DCA... well the month long one :P... and even Eisner called those things something like "Barf Guards" That is still what we call them when I go with dis cast members. So you're not far off... even if they were ment to cut the noise... which they don't... well, not very successfully...

:rolleyes1 :rolleyes1 :rotfl2: :rolleyes1 :rolleyes1

I am a totally DCA guy, and those aren't barf protectors, or screaming shields. Those are actually face protectors. Disney is in the #1 area zone for safest rides, and they know that in California, the weather can get weird. How would you like it if you went up that fast in the air, and ALL the cold/hot wind blew in your face like that?

LOL my first thought was that, too! "Ewwwww, how nasty! Right back in the face!" :rotfl: I can see the safety warning now: "This ride is not recommended for pregnant women, people with heart conditions, and those who are prone to vomit while riding..."

Renpener,

I appologise if I offended you, however that WAS what the ImaginEARS that I went to DCA with were saying. Because there is so much arround the park, other businesses, homes, etc. would be effected by the sound of people screaming. Not something that Anaheim residents really wanted. Though that seems silly since they moved right next door to a theme park, but whatever. They had to get city permits for it as well, go check Anaheim records. And being from CA myself and being a rollercoaster junkie myself the guards were a rather unusual site. When I asked about them that was the response that I got. NOT a joke either. Except for the laugh about what the head cheese called them. We have many rides in varrious parks that have a ride almost exactly like this one that do not have, nor need shields too, Knott's is the first that comes to mind. "ALL the cold/hot wind blew in your face like that" is not a factor when you are riding them. And I hate to be a pain, but being a CA native myself, our weather is not all that strange. Florida is strange, but they don't have guards on most of their rides, nor do they have the noise problem that Anaheim has.
