The cartoon is before my time but right now the movie Underdog is being filmed. Instead of animation like the cartoon, it will be much like scooby-doo. Cant say much dont want to get in trouble. But im bad with secrets

There's no need to fear... Underdog is here!

I watched that cartoon as a kid...

Why they are remaking it I have no idea- yeah sure the under dog is a hero in this one- but he got his superhero powers by taking pills...

Yeah lets see if we can get some magic pills that will turn us into superheroes.

Sorry it isn't the most PC concept for a movie- I sure hope they change that aspect at least...

Well, if someone told you it's not a secret now is it ;)
Thanks for the movie info :)

no my cousin just got a job with disney and we get inside information ;)

Erm, I don't want to be rude, but won't Disney get a little upset at having people reveal secrets that they have told employees? :confused3 Of course, I've never worked there, so maybe they really don't care. Just wondering...

Umm... Bad news: This is in no way a secret. Good news: You have no pressure to keep it "under your hat." :)

"Underdog Flying onto the Big Screen Source: Variety, June 2005

Walt Disney Pictures and Spyglass Entertainment are putting the final touches on a deal to bring the classic TV cartoon Underdog to the big screen as a live-action feature, reports Variety.

The trade says Disney has high hopes for the property as a possible franchise for its Walt Disney Pictures label. Producers are aiming to start preparing in November for shoot starting in January in Canada, possibly in Vancouver.

The tongue-in-cheek Underdog series, created by Buck Biggers and Chet Stover, made its debut in 1964 on NBC and ran until 1973. The character was an unlikely superhero: a beagle who sheds his milquetoast identity of Shoeshine Boy to become a caped superdog who speaks in rhymed couplets. Wally Cox provided his voice.

In the feature script, by Joe Piscatella and Craig A. Williams, a diminutive hound named Shoeshine gets superpowers after a lab accident. When he's adopted by a 12-year-old boy, the two form a bond around the shared knowledge that Shoeshine is really Underdog.

The characters of mad scientist Simon Barsinister and Underdog's love interest, Sweet Polly Purebred, are expected to be included in the movie. A real dog will be used for the title character, and CGI enhancements will be added.

Release is anticipated in early 2007, according to other sources."
