Hey ladies....have any of you tried either the Dr. Scholls fast flats or Fit in the Clouds? I want to know how comfortable they are, and if they would work for walking distances (ie: shopping mall, at the end of a long day at the parks, etc). They just look so flimsy, but so convenient. Has anyone tried them?

I just checked out a pair of the Dr. Scholls fast flats as they were on clearance for $6 at my local grocery store. I did not buy them. I think you could get better support from a sock. I know that my feet would be aching after walking in them for maybe 20 mins.
I cannot comment on the other brand as I have never seen them.

That's what I though too...they look like a rubber sock.

I have the Dr. Scholls ones and they're worse than a sock. I felt like I was walking in just my tights when I had them on. Definitely not for walking anywhere for a long time unless it's better than heels.

I work in a pharmacy, and the Dr. Scholl's rep was in the other day, so since we've had a lot of questions from customers (my bos and I are both male, so we don't care) we asked her. Basically, they're really only meant for when you're in heels, and don't want to wear them anymore. They're by no means a substitute for a shoe.

If you're looking for an actual that can be 'rolled up' or something along those lines, take a look at 'barefoot' or 'minimalist' shoes like the Vibram Five Toes or (for something that looks a bit more conventional) the Merrell Barefoot series.

Mind you, these are going to cost significantly more than Fast Flats, and are meant for barefoot running as opposed to just wearing (which means they'll fit differently), so they might not be what you're looking for.

Thank you....thats what I needed to know!
