I have not heard the ad but both my kids did modeling/acting when they were young. We were with a reputable Toronto agent named Emmerson Denny who was connected and familiar with all the Toronto casting houses. Both my kids made good $$ we put away for them. Then we moved to a rural location and getting out to all the casting calls got to be to much. We never had any up front fees except headshots which were not alot of money, we did a contact sheet and printed them as we needed them because the kids were so young they grow and change quickly. The agent took his percentage before we saw cheques and it was all contractual ahead of time so I knew what was going to be given to the agent. I am very skeptical of any agent who needs to advertise on the radio and if the ad is for a cattle call casting situation I would be very wary, those are designed to sell you a dream. If you really want your child(ren) to do something like this, call a few casting houses in Toronto and ask if they can give you names of agents they think are good - that is how I found our guy!
