I'm taking the kids to Ponyo this afternoon and noticed on the website their "deal" today is 2 for 1 general admission. It's only good today, with the printable coupon. (You have to sign up, but I've been signed up almost a year and no spam I can track to them...) They also have some deals left later this week, like movie + snack for 9.99. If you have an Empire close by and want to see a movie today, might be a nice perk. :goodvibes Hope that helps someone.

Awesome Thanks! I looked but our theatre doesn't have Ponyo - only kids show is Shorts :sad2:
I might see if DH and I can find a sitter though popcorn::

Yeah, I was thinking it'd actually be a better deal if you were buying two adult admissions. Hope that works out for you! Date night--oooo, I could use a date night...sigh.

Just a weeeee rant to go with that...darn good thing we had that coupon.

Two kids under 10, one adult to see the movie. 3 kids' packs (sm drink, sm popcorn, reg candy bar). 29.99.

However. TWO of those movie tickets were free. I used the 2-for-one, plus I had a free ticket left over from a birthday party. So ONE kid's admission and three kids' snacks= $30! Make no wonder I never take them to the movies... :sad2:

And, um, is it just me, or was Ponyo not the best thing to bear the Disney name this year? Kids liked it, me not so much...

Our co-op student tells me that the $9.99 for admission, large popcorn and pop is a regular deal if you show your student card...sweet deal! Not sure if I qualify as a part-time student, but I may give it a try next time...DH hates paying crazy money for pop and popcorn at the movies.

Actually funny story from just last night - friend and I went to see Julie and Julie last night (loved it) and we had our freshly cut coupons from the deal of the day for $6.99 admission and when we ordered our tickets we found out that it's that deal every week on Tuesday. Too funny...
