Leather seats are a necessity
I have black leather (heated) seats and they don't get warm enough in the summer that they burn me or that I stick to them and I rarely ever use the A/C. I do use the heated seats all winter long
DH's truck has lighter gray leather but the seats aren't heated. They are a little cold in the winter but I am also very spoiled with my heated seats.
Leather is a lot easier to clean and maintain plus it holds up better over time.
I will never buy another vehicle that does not have heated leather seats
