Hey no worries!
London is in Ontario, about 2 hours south-west of Toronto and about 2 hours north east of Windsor/Detroit.
This is the city link
http://www.london.ca/
It's a city of about 300,000 I think and pretty big geographically. It's large and sprawling with a lot of malls and sub-burbs and not really centred in teh downtown too much although they have been putting a lot of money into the downtown to revive it and there is a big stadium there now where they have some pretty big-name concerts. I think it has the highest per capita income of any city in Canada (correct me if I"m wrong, someone). There are quite a few hospitals; it's one of the best places in North America to get sick.

There is also a big University. There are a lot of professionals: dr., lawyers, professors, etc. Not a tonne going on in the "arts" scene for a city of its size but we do have one good theatre and there's been a full scale Opera done there last year (Tosca - I was in teh chorus - AWESOME FUN) and this year (Rigoletto - I'm too pregnant this year.

)
We live about 30 minutes outside of London in a town of about 11,000.
Those are relatively random facts...but the web site has lots of info.
Hope that helps! I'd rather live in London, UK than London Canada myself but my husband (British - born in peak district, grew up in Yeovil) says he doesn't want to live there. We might move to Bristol for a year or two at some point. We both like that city and have some friends there.
Beth
