Has anyone been to the Crayola Factory at Two Rivers Landing in Easton, PA? We are thinking about going there on Friday. DD (almost 5) is a very good artist and loves all things arts and crafts so I am pretty sure she would love it. However, it is two hours each way which is a lot of car time in one day for us. I want to make sure it is worth the time, trip and gas. Any opinions out there? Thanks in advance! :)

I've never been, but if you have Comcast OnDemand, there was an episode of Jon & Kate Plus 8 that was filmed there. It looked really cute and there was lots of footage of the factory. Check it out....it might be on the TLC website too.

We went last year. It isn't that big but the kids really did enjoy themselves. Outside you can get a free trolley ride also - that made the time there longer. There is not a restaurant there so you either have to bring your own food or go to the McD next door.

I would prefer to stay in the Poconos and make a weekend of it. Driving up for the factory to me, was alot for such a small place

BUT remember I did say my kids really liked it.

We went last summer on our way to Sesame Place and Hershey Park. My kids 2 and 7 had a lot of fun. We probably spent about 3 hours there. There were stations in different rooms set up to do crafts, painting, coloring, etc. I would recommend going.

Thanks everyone! I think we will make the drive. I did see that Jon and Kate episode which is what reminded me that I wanted to take DD there. Thanks again!

I have been there many times, as we always take our first graders there for a field trip. The kids really enjoy it. That episode of Jon and Kate drove me crazy because she freaked out about the kids using markers and getting messy. She really needs to lighten up.

We just were there last Thursday for the first time. I have a 4 yr old son and 5 yr old daughter. My daughter absolutely loved it....my son liked it but he was pretty tired....what he really enjoyed was the 2nd and 3rd floors which you can take a boat through the canal and then the top floor you can build stuff w/ blocks, lincoln logs, water table......we were in the Poconos for the week and drove there one day, about a half hour's drive......it's a good day trip I think....we were there about 4 hours.

My son LOVED the canal museum! That's where the boat thing is! He loved pushing those boats through the canals. He must have done it 10 times. I totally forgot about that.

i thought it was a waste of time. could be because we were very tired, we went there after a long weekend at great wolf lodge, but we didnt stay long. to us it was just markers and crayons laid out to use, there wasnt much at all to do.

We went there a couple of years ago when my DD was almost 4. She loved doing the crafts. My DS then 6 was bored, but he is not a craft person.

We all loved the big store connected to it!

please don't expect to see the 'real' making of crayons, they show you a small version of how they make crayons. If you are not right up front you can view what the guy does on the tv monitor. My kids did love the arts and crafts but I for a short time I could not find my daughter and it was quite crowded. There is also was a great crayola store with awesome stuff to buy that are hard to find or are not out at the stores yet.
