OT- Cooking blog where my daughter is the guest chef

So very cool Kathy! That's awesome! Krissy did a great job.

I love, love red velvet cupcakes! You don't see them very often anymore. My mom used to make them, but she always said they were more for decoration than eating *gasp*! She thought they brightened up a table and gave it some color.

Thanks for sharing! :)

I thought your Daughter did a great job Kathy, and the blog's really cool. I like the idea of using a "photo-essay" to illustrate a recipe. Hope she can do more of them.

That was great Kathy. Thanks for sharing. :)

Awesome. I am always impressed by those who can bake. She looks like a pro from those cupcake pics!

So very cool! I thought your daughter did an awesome job, Kathy! :)

Being from NJ, we actually had our first red velvet cake experience a few months back. They actually had one prepared in Shop Rite and we had to try it. So very good! We're totally addicted now.

Thx a mint for sharing that Kathy - she did a great job! Using a greased soup ladle is a fab tip. :thumbsup2

cheers,
:flower3:

Thanks for sharing. Make sure she also does a pie recipe to keep from alienating half of the boards.

Great blog and I got some good baking tips. Your daughter did a great job.

Thank you everyone. It's funny how she used to make fun of me being a Martha Stewart type and look what she is doing now. :)

I loved the blog and the photos really added to it! My DD and her fiance' LOVE red velvet cupcakes and they have made some delicious ones! I'll have to tell her about adding the strawberry yogurt. :) They are having red velvet cakes as two of their wedding cake layers.

How weird is this - I ran across her blog a few days ago from a link on the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel's website. I thought the cupcakes looked amazing! I had no idea that was your daughter! It's a small, small world we live in. (and good luck getting that song out of your head today! Ha!)
