Sorry for going off topic here, but I am looking for some help. I will be moving to the UK for about 6 months to complete my degree and I was thinking about travelling around while there. I have heard that there are great deals on flights - cheaper than taking the train?? - and was hoping that someone could direct me to a website or two that I can purhcase tickets from. I have found a couple, but I don't know if they are reputable.

Thank you so much - Jo

Hi Jo

Websites for "cheap flights" (although their cheapness varies depending on destination and date of travel) include:

worth also checking out http://www.britishairways.com/travel/home/public/en_gb (they sometimes have cheap flights).

You might get cheap flights within UK and bits of Europe whilst you are here.

Since you will be a student, might be worth checking out http://www.youngpersons-railcard.co.uk/ too - if you plan to do lots of travel.

Good luck and have fun.

Thank you so much! I appreciate it!

Jo

Train travel can be extremely cheap IF you book a long way in advance and stick to the train you book. A lot of fares don't benefit you to have a young persons railcard so its worth checking out prior to buying one. If you have a specific journey(s) in mind pm me and I'll let you know what the fare would be.
