Hello ... we were thinking of taking the kids to Centreville next week as they see that commercial on tv all the time and now that it is open again, we thought we should try it out.

Is it worth buying an all day family pass for $90? Are there rides that the adults will go on? I saw you can buy sheets of tickets, but didn't see how many tickets for a ride.

Best to take food with us or buy it there??

As for the ferry ... do you pay for both ways to ride it or is it a two way price for there and for return? What is the best way to get to the ferry and where to park the car?

Can you tell we aren't Toronto folk??? lol ... wondered about parking at Yorkdale and taking the subway somewhere or would that even work?

Thanks for any info ...
Kerri

Your 5 year old will probably get more use out of this trip than your 8 year old as it is geared mostly towards pre-schoolers. Not sure how much each ride is, but I do know a ride like the water log (which both your kids will like) takes 6 tickets. Try Shoppers Drug Mart for discount - I think the family pass is around 80 bucks if you buy from them. Adults can accompany their kids on a few rides - the train, ferris wheel, swan ride, the boat that swings like the one in Marineland (no idea what's it called) and I think theres one like the tea cup in WDW as well.

The ferry rate is for both ways. You can get parking close to the ferries for about 15 bucks for the entire day. Look for the 'green P' parking signs.

Food is pretty reasonable and this year they have opened a new joint - Shopsys. Pizza Pizza is on site too and I think a large pepperoni pizza is about 20 bucks. Or you can bring your own food or a portable BBQ too if you would like.

Enjoy - we love Centerville and we make it a point to go once a year. Have not gone this year due to the strike, but will go maybe on my week off later this month so as to avoid the weekend crowds.

Go for it!! We love Centreville and the islands. The amusement park is only one of the wonderful things you can do on the island. They have bike and surrey rentals just like WDW resorts! There are beaches, playgrounds, picnic areas, walking paths, other restaurants etc... There is lots to do at the island!! You can also catch the free trolley ride that takes you to Hanlan's point. The island has 3 distinct areas: Ward's Island-where people live, Centre Island-where the parks are mainly located and, Hanlon's point-Island Airport, Island School, Lighthouse, Water Treatment plant etc... The trails link all 3 sections of the island and make for a nice stroll or bike ride around the island.

As for Centreville, our 5 year olds faves are: Chair lift, Dark ride-haunted barrel works (haunted house) and the log flume.

Have an awesome time!

For our family a trip to Centreville was annual thing when our kids were aged about 5 to 9. We always got the Family pass which is a much better deal than buying ride tickets if you plan to experience all of the attractions. There are several things for adults to do but it is really all about the kids. If you don't mind a 5 minute walk you can usually get a better deal on parking if you drive a bit further from the ferry.
