Hi All,

First off- I am prepared for how much less I will enjoy Canada's Wonderland this season after visiting Disney for the first time thismonth.

After being a season passholder last year we re-upped for this season. Of course, in between we made our first trip to WDW and I am now a little more sensitive to the giant lines at CW and want to try and avoid them!!

Are there any touring plans or best practices for those CW experts out there? My DS and DD will now make the 48" benchmark for a lot of the big rides, so there is more on the need to do list.

Appreciate any insights.

Also - what is the minimum height for Behemoth?

Firstly, try to enjoy CW for what it has to offer. Look for the good in the park rather than focusing on an unrealistic comparision to WDW.

We go to CW A LOT! Here are some of my tips:

* go as early in the day as you can
* try to go on the days CW offers EE for season's pass holders and get there when the gate opens
* don't let a little rain stop you from going, lots of ride stay open and it's likely not to rain all day
* Spring and Fall are awesome times to go and avoid the high season lines
* CW is open for 6 months, you don't have to do EVERYTHING during EVERY trip! Go often for fewer hours. We like getting there EARLY and leaving about 1pm
* try and pack a lunch and have it under the shading tent just outside the ticket gate....you will love the quiet and healthier lunch
* saying that....don't forget buying a funnel cake as a treat! They range from $7.99 for plain to $10+ for ice cream and fruit topping
* bring your own water bottle, water is $3.10 at the park
* if you want to buy souveniers, remember your season's pass holder discount AND try to wait until the last couple of weekends when item go on sale for 25%-50% off

Behemoth height restriction is 54 inches.

Any thoughts on bringing snacks and several juice boxes into CW? On the official web site it states you are only allowed bottled water and nothing else.

Thank you

Can't bring ANYTHING into the park.
You get turned away froraving anything other than water bottles. You can try, but they take it away, or you can haul it back to the car.

And you wont spend 50$ buying 3 hamburger meals and 3 drinks.

Heres what I do to save at CW. I DONT GO. We head down to Darien Lake in Newyork. Havent been there with the new owners yet. But have 2 trips planned this year. 8 days all together. Including camping onsite.

I've been to Canada's Wonderland and Darien Lake several times, and have always had a good time. However, after going to WDW in value season and enjoying the short lines (with the help of FASTPASS), I don't know that I'll ever want to return to those parks and wait 30+ minutes in line. Some day, maybe... I certainly think WDW could learn a thing or two about thrill rides from those parks, as I found WDW's "thrill" rides to be "not quite so much."

The last time I was at CW was 2005. We were there all day, 10 - 10 and only were able to enjoy 5 rides. It was crazy busy. It had poured rain the day before so i guess anybody planning on going waited a day. My family who all love rides hated CW last time so we have not been back. My guys (35,14,8) would prefer to bank the money we would spend on WL and save for Disney (gee and the ILs and My Dad think the oldest DS (14, not 35) is bored of Disney :rotfl: )

We are planning a trip to DL this summer though. It is closer to us. We are going with my BIL and SIL who are visiting we their three kids (6,4,6 months). Hopefully there will be alot for the little ones to do. Otherwise it is off to WL for us.

We have had CW Season Passes for 4 years and go to WDW or US Yearly

For CW yes there are some waits but really I havent experience any more then 45 min and that was Behemoth.

If you have a seasons pass
-Go early May and June less lines same with Sept Oct
-Go during the Week
-Take advantage of early ride times
-Go on a cloudy day
-Hit Major attration in the AM or in last hour
-If you have a season pass go on less busy rides eventually throughout the season you will do everything

We have season pass parking sometimes we leave park and go to Wendys Subway or McDonalds even Swiss Chalet and then go back Much Cheaper
