OT, But look at the Yoda cake I made!!!

Good Morning Ladies,

I wanted to post a quick picture of the Yoda cake I made for Jacka. I am thrilled with it! The original plan was to make 2, one to take to the county fair, but that did not happen...oh well maybe next year. Happy Saturday...May the Force Be With You!

Enteries can be dropped off today or tomorrow and I believe the fair starts on Wednesday. I am entering cupcakes and a photo I took...I hope I at least get something.

Thank you so much everyone! The party is over and the fair enteries are in...now to relax.

Yoda was made with 5 round 10 inch layers. I cut the top to make it a little rounded. His head was sculpted rice krispie treats covered in fondant. The ears are hand drawn cardboard pieces that were covered in fondant (and the only thing on the cake that was not edible). Normally it does not bother me to cut into a cake I have made, but this one was bittersweet. I could not watch. As a matter of fact...I still have his head on a plate in my kitchen...I am just not ready to throw it away yet. I really wish I would have had time to make 2 of these so one could go to the fair, but there is always next year.
