we are going to be near wdw that week and i was hoping to convince hubby to make a detour but when i went to FW on the disney site it kept saying it wasn't available for 2 people that weekend? not sure if the site is messing up or thought maybe something i forgot about is that week end

Hi Jann,
It is a busy weekend; Food & Wine Festival, Soap Weekend, Festival of the Masters (thanks Colson for pointing this one out to me!). It's also "Jersey Week" but opinions are definitely mixed as to how much this affects things.

Yea, Katie pretty much nailed it on the head (and you're welcome ). That is one of the busiest weekends at Disney, as far as events are concerned (and crowds to an extent). I'm not surprised that it's hard to find a place to stay at this time, the weekend is becoming more and more popular as people find out just how much there is to do that weekend.

We normally go that weekend every year, but this year we're going the weekend before because of some time constraints. I'm really going to miss seeing the Festival of the Masters, it's a great folk art show, and the chalk art the high school kids do all over Downtown Disney is just amazing (this isn't tic tac toe, these kids draw the Mona Lisa to detail, just crazy).

If you keep on trying you might get a site, although it's getting a bit close, only two months away! Oh man, I didn't realize how close to November we were, woohoo!!

Monday, the 12th is also the official day off for folks for Veterans day. So whenever there is a 3-day weekend foks take advantage. That's also another reason for being booked up.
