A bit off topic, but realistically this is going to be the best crowd (IE, techies) to ask.

Can anyone confirm if WiMax coverage (aka Clear Communications and Sprint 4G) reaches into the parks? The maps would believe me to believe that it doesn't quite penetrate into the parks, just mostly skirting it, which makes sense as Dis doesn't exactly love cell towers on their property. I'm most interested in the Epcot area (BCV, BWV, OKW specifically), but I wouldn't mind knowing how the coverage, if any, is in the parks. I would love to be able to keep a constant upload going from the camera to my 4G gear, but if need be I can wait until I get back to the resort.

I've pretty much ruled out using Disney high speed. Last time we were there (OKW 2006) it was ridiculously expensive. I had a 3G card then, but I also only was shooting 6mp images.

I could not get a 4G signal last August with my Sprint wireless hotspot (@ All Star music). I had no trouble getting 3G though. However, 4G has been around a little longer now and that could have changed.

Good to know. Orlando went live with WiMax late September of 2010 (after you were there) so hopefully they did the upgrades to all of the towers in the Orlando area. That is of course if Disney lets them anywhere near their pine-tree towers :)
