OT - Bike Grease in Mac Double Stroller

Hoping someone can help me with this...

DH got bike grease (the chain) on the Mac double stroller. Don't ask how. I still have steam coming out of my ears.

I figured if you DISer know how to save money, you probably know how to maintain your items.

Our Mac double stroller was expensive and is something I use all the time (very much needed w/ 2 sm kids). Don't want go out w/ it looking like that.

I pat it w/ wet papper towels but most of it is still there. I just bought Resolve (the duo one w/ oxygen) and the Sray N Wash (the duo one w/ oxygen). Before I try one, I figure I ask for anyone's advice.

Please help me w/ this. Thank you.

I have recently asked all my friends for their solutions to grease on cotton issues. What I have heard is that a degreaser is needed. There is more than one but you may want to try the least potent first.

Dawn diswashing detergent is what has worked for me. A small drop applied with a toothbrush and lightly scrubbed. The old-fashioned bar soap Felsnaptha is another option. My husband put his new gym bag down on the floor of the bus and oil had been spilled there earlier. It wicked it up but Felsnaptha did the trick removing the stain.

You could also try Murphy's Oil Soap. I have used this on bike grease on my DS clothes. It takes some scrubbing. I would only use a tiny bit because it will have to be rinsed.

Liquid Tide (I use Tide Free, I wouldn't use Tide with Bleach). Just put a few drops on the spot, let it set for, oh 20 minutes to overnight), then rinse with water. It works like magic, I use it on everything. Red popsicle on the furniture, grease on clothes from the dirt bikes, you name it.

The Dollar Tree, don't know if you have one but... they have this degrease called 'Awesome" and it truly is! It comes in a clear bottle with a spray cap. The bottle has red writing and the liquid in it is a yellow color.

You just spray, rub, rinse. I have salvaged many a thing with this stuff!
