OT - Best baby doll for 18 month old?

Any recommendations for a first baby doll for our 18 month old DD? We are having another babe next month and I want to get DD her very own baby to take care of while mommy is busy with her little brother. I'm considering the corelle dolls because they are small and life like but also a little pricey. Its very cute, she thinks because mommy has a baby in her tummy so does she

Fisher Price has a line of dolls called "Little Mommy". There are "newborn" dolls which are small, cute and soft... and inexpensive. I love these dolls and wish I had a little girl to buy one for! (bought one for a child on one of those wish trees last Christmas).

American Girl has a doll called Bitty Baby that you can choose eye color, skin color and hair color. They are really cute and hold up well. QVC.com is having one on sale starting tomorrow and she comes with quite a few accessories. These dolls are a bit pricey BUT well worth the money. She will play with it for many years to come. Congrats on the new baby!

Thanks! Wow, thats a great doll and in a few years I'll have to get her one, but I think for now I better stick to something a little cheaper. Great recommendation though!!
