Hi All ~ Has anyone used Bathfitters for their tub and shower? Comments? Thanks! Sandra

My parents had this done about three months ago and it turned out great. They had avacado green tub and tile surrounding the tub and all around the bathroom. They ended up having someone come in and remove all the tiles in the rest of the bathroom (not the tub) and put up new drywall, installed a new counter, sinks, taps, mirror, lights, door, floor, and fan. After all of the was done, Bathfitters came in and did their tub and surrounding wall in just under two days. It looks lovely. I'm jealous ;) !!

My in-laws had it done about two months before my parents and they also had purple tub and tile all around the bathroom. They chose to have bathfitters cover over all of the tile along with the tub/shower area. It looks nice. They have had some issues with the pieces covering the tiles in behind the toilet starting to peel off, but they are coming to retouch apparently. I'm not as fond of their bathroom because they chose dark burgandy and had some silly paint finish put over top of that (not from bathfitter ... this is the paint job they did on the top half of their bathroom) ... it just looks outdated next to the lovely new bathtub and new vanity.

Good luck !

I hear Bathfitter's is expensive, but they do a great job.

So you would recommend that I do all my bathroom reno before getting the tub/shower done? Thanks! Sandra

Bathfitter did our tub. We couldn't be happier with it. Did a great job. That was 7 or 8 years ago and still going strong.

My mum used either Bathtub Fitters or Bathtub King a few years ago. It cost $1800 to cover her tub and tiles and replace the faucet and everything still looks and works great!

We used Bathfitters about 4 years ago in our old house. I think it cost us around $1800 and that was for the tub - walls and ceiling in the tub too -- we added a corner shelf and the soap dish in the tub. Other than the money, it was a painless experience. We pretty much did the rest of our renovations before the tub was done, with the exception of the floor -- flooring guy recommended we do the tub first.

We just finished our ensuite bathroom a couple of days before our children arrived home for Christmas. Since it was only our stand alone shower that was the potential problem, we checked with Bathfitters first. Honestly, I was shocked at the $4000 quote to line only the shower. So we opted to gut the whole bathroom and start over. In the end, it cost over $15,000 but everything is new. For me, it was just too much money to cover up an old problem.

Bathfitter's is coming Friday to quote. I hope it's under $2000. Thanks all! Blessings, Sandra
