OT: Are Crocs Going out of Business?

A few years ago my family discovered that wearing Crocs to WDW made for a comfortable, blister free walking experience. When I my dd grew out of her recent pair (she is now in adult sizes) I was surprised by how very limited the selection was when we went shopping (last year there were tons of styles and colours--and seemed to be everywhere-hardly see them now). So I was wondering if they were going out of business, which would be a bummer since they are so comfy. Does anyone know of a store in the GTA (live in the east--Whitby) that has a good selection? My daughter is hoping for a sandal style not the clown shoe type lol. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks:goodvibes

I was in Sportchek looking at them yesterday and another laday who was looking at the Crocs asked the same thing! I hadn't heard that they were, but they didn't have the selection they once had. Maybe they are going with online orders?

There was a discussion on one of the Dis Boards in the last couple of weeks saying that Crocs were going out of business. One of the last posts mentioned that they are not, but will be restructuring and making some changes.

My daughter somehow tore the strap out of one of her Crocs last week and ripped the shoe (the pair I bought her to wear in Disney World) and I called the company in the US to buy another pair (our selection on PEI isn't very wide at the best of times!) It took over 10 minutes to get a representative on the phone, but when I did, they said they would send me a prepaid label to send them back and they will replace the shoes for free. I was nearing the end of my 90 day warranty on them (which I didn't even know existed).

They still appear to be up and running, which I am grateful for because as soon as the snow melts here on PEI, I am in my Crocs (Athens and Adara, not the beach clog type!)

I was in a shoe store in Bowmanville on the wknd and the owner told me that they were going out of business, but who knows.
The only selection they had there was the regular crocs, none of the flip flops.

There is a Croc's store in Mississauga at Heartland Town Centre.

We love crocs and my brother-in-law buys them on-line as he get the fully enclosed ones to wear in the barn (he's a farmer) in the summer.
When they tried to order them on-line like usual my sister couldn't get it to work so she phoned and was told that Crocs would not ship to Canada anymore via on-line order and gave her some other on-line companies that would - only problem is they all charge a lot more then Crocs themselves did.

Now is trying to find them somewhere here.

Brock's in Port Perry has a fairly wide selection of them - including the mary jane style and flip flops - also have another mary jane looking one I've never seen before that is smaller then the original ones.

If all else fails - Disney always has loads of them in the Parks but obviously they are Disney styles.

I need to find small lined ones for my daughter as well and have yet to see them.

Oh, and the Bay normally sells them

Walking On A Cloud in Bowmanville just had some furry lined childrens ones in khaki green & pink. They were on sale for $17.49 but the only sizes were 4/5 or 6/7. You could give them a call to confirm. 905-697-1393

There is also a store in Toronto...on the website it gives the location. I was in the Mississuga store the other day and they are buy 1 get 1 for 50% off and they have a fairly good selection. Oh, I forgot, there is a Crocs store in one of the outlet malls in Orlando if you're going anytime soon!

Crocs managed the "too big, too fast" routine, and offered shoes that sat on shelves for too long. As Gina posted, they are in severe financial distress; and the likelihood of them paying off the debt come September is thought to be impossible. Crocs did a big blow out on the website in late July and early August, and I expect if the bankruptcy happens... then some mega deals will occur in the coming 4-6 weeks.

Airports may have Crocs kiosks & MCO has a Crocs store, kinda across from Lush :thumbsup2

I know a lot of people love them but I can't say I'd be sorry to see them go.

I love my Athens and my chocolate boots ... Id be sad & would have to stock up!
Still want a pair of Capris.

there is the soft moc warehouse on hopkins street in whitby..some selection not as great as before..but they do sell them at a reduced price

Bonnie Togs, the children's clothing store, carries them, as do alot of Kiddie Kobblers. I got ones for me 11yr old in a woman's 6 at a Kiddie Kobbler in Kingston. I tried on Friday of last wk to order of their website, and it stated that they would not ship to Canada, so.... I put my cousin's address in Syracuse down, and then proceeded to check out. However, the site will not even accomadate a Canadian billing address...it couldn't take a province. So...I called them, thinking they could do it manually. Appparently, no they can't. They have the same site that we see. I told the guy on the phone, that the selection and prices on the sites they recommend for crocs was not as great, and he didn't have a response other than sorry.:sad2:

Up until two months ago, Canadians could order and pay on the crocs website. Then at the same time as several other US websites, Canadians were cut off. When I ordered in April on the crocs website, my shipment was sent out to me from a depot in Ontario.

I heard about the bankruptcy thing on MTV. They said don't rush out and by them because things could change in Sept.

Check this US website http://www.shoebuy.com They also ship to Canada and carry crocs. I also remember seeing Crocs in Disney last year.

Has anyone had luck w/ discount codes for shoebuy? I find that w/ the shipping & duty it's easier to buy them in store if you can find them or I wait til I go to the states & get a couple pairs
