DH wants to go Scuba diving in the Keys for his 40th b-day this coming Feb. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Also, what can me and my 2 DD (age 9 & 10) do while he dives? I have found a dolphin experience available - anyone go to this? Thanks for your time.

We just got back from Bluewaterkey RV park. Privately owned and you rent from the owners. We actaully rented from Rita Clark, an owner of several lots ... www.bluewaterkey.net. It is at MM 14, and Marathon is MM 50, maybe too far.

This place is expensive, and it is only for self contained units, like motorhomes and trailers.

We saw several campgrounds on the way down and back, goto www.koa.com or www.rvparkreviews.com .

Went from there to FW ... a nice week.

Until my family purchased a permanent vacation home in the keys we always stayed at Big Pine Key Fishing Lodge and Campground. It was nice and clean. I don't know about now, but there were always key deer in the campground and because people fed them (even though you weren't supposed to) you could get close.

There is also Bahia Honda State Park, that was the beach we always went to. I think they have scuba excursions that leave right from the park. I don't know about the campground but the beach is very nice. It is closer to Marathon that Big Pine is.

We have stayed twice(right around Christmas) at Fiesta Key KOA-what a gorgeous place. The whole Key is the campground. We had a great time there-however-it is the most we've payed ever to camp-I see now its $70 a night-not much different than what we payed in 93 and 97. Not sure exactly how far from Marathon, but I think about 20-30 miles. It is definitely a do not miss.

Thank you all for the suggestions to check out! Any other do not miss things to see, do?
