OT: Another tipping question.....

How much should a pizza delivery person be tipped. Does a delivery charge change how much you tip? I am curious what the going rate is. Thank you!

10-20%. Delivery charges are seldom passed on to the delivery people, but instead kept by the business. I never tip under $2 per delivery--unless they bring the wrong order or take forever because they "get lost."

"Uh, you're a delivery person, it's your job to not get lost," plus I live in a major development in town.

We usually tip $2, in addition to the delivery charge. Since Papa John's recently started charging a delivery fee, we just order from them less.

Currently, my family's been going to Cici's pizza when we're in the mood. We can usually all eat for under $10 with coupons.

On a $20-$25 order I do between $5 and $7

$2 to $3. For example, if the order comes to $15.25, I will typically pay $18 for a tip of $2.75. Or if it is $15.99, I still pay $18 for a tip of $2.01.
