Ostrich Egg Craft at AKL only open to Hotel Guests?

Is this true? Or if you make the $5 donation can anyone do it? We are having dinner at Boma on the 20th and I thought that would be an excellent pre-dinner activity! Thanks everyone. If no one knows for sure does anyone have the email of AKL and I will ask?

We were there in September and my kids did it. We were staying at AKL, but I don't think you had to present a card that said you were staying there. Don't think the KTTW cards list your hotel. But you do make a donation to the animal fund. You get a nice button for it. My kids took theirs to school and showed them off.

I don't know the answer to the OP's question, but I want to clarify about the cards listing your resort. They have a number on them that verifies which resort you are staying at. So while they son't specifically say "Wilderness Lodge" they do identify the guests resort--if you know what to look for like a CM would.

I don't know whether or not it's open to guests of other hotels, but when I last stayed at AKL, I really wished it was open to adults! I wanted to do the ostrich egg craft!!!!

At the top of the main DIS Page under the updates it tells about hte activities at AKL and you do have to be a guest of AKL to participate. HTH!!!!!.

Sure wish I was a child so I could make one while I am there, it would make a great souvernier for my new house.

We've participated in most of the activities at AKL, including the ostrich egg ornaments, and have never been asked to show any ID at all.

I think "don't ask, don't tell" applies in this situation... don't go up to them and say, "We're not staying here, can we still do the craft?" because then they might say no!
