Osbourne Lights

Can someone tell me more about this! ? What time does it start, and where in MGM are they?

They're on Residential Street, but I'm not sure what time they start...I would think at dark. We're going to see them for the first time this year.

I'm trying to work out our schedule, and we'll be at MGM on Wednesday, Dec. 8. We're planning on seeing Fantasmic at 7, then hoping to see the Osbourne Lights. Do they run for only a limited time?

In previous years, they turned them on at 6:00. They would still be on after 7:00 Fantasmic.

Lights will be on New York Street due to construction of new attraction that is being built.It seems in past years lights are turned on around 6:00.They are a awesome display and don't forget to get a pair of 3-d glasses to view them also,CM'S will be handing them out for free as you start tour of lights and they are yours to keep.

danny1649, thank you for that tip about the 3-D glasses. I will be sure to get some now that I know about them.

I remember someone in another thread saying there is usually a big crowd to see the lights when they are first turned on each night. Would I still have plenty of time to see them if I go to Fantasmic at 7:00 and then the lights afterwards? The park will be closing at 8:00.

Hey, Hollyjoy - we'll also be at MGM on Dec 8!! That's our arrival day (we arrive around 9:30 AM), and we plan to head to Animal Kingdom first and stay til the parade. Then we'll go over to MGM and ride a couple of rides - DD(8) is hoping to ride RockNRoller Coaster! We plan to stay for the Osborne Lights - I believe they turn them on around 6:00! Then, we're going to dinner at Jiko!!

Yes you will just follow the crowd over to lights at end of Fantasmic and walk through them and enjoy,have a great trip and a magical time.

Residential street is now gone, made way for Lights, Motors Action! Extreme Action Show being bulit. It is now on backlot cityscape (old New York Street).

we were one of the first in line two years ago on opening night when it was on Residential street... When they drop the rope at 6:00 pm, it's a slight rush, but the crowd thins out really quick and you can walk along at your own pace.

I'm excited to see it in the new location this year. the 3-D glasses are wicked cool!!
