Anyone have any details on the Osborne Lights for this year?
Just wondering if they will just be on NYC streets from here on -- since the houses are gone.
And when are they normally put up and lit for public viewing?

Answered some of my own question. ;)
November 24 - January 2, 2004

I know what it is, my question is more towards the strategy of seeing this display (if there is any).

TIA

We have been there on a Saturday night and Sunday. (In January)
MAJOR difference. If possible, I would go another night besides a Saturday.

It's a beautiful display. The only strategy of seeing the display that I experienced was not to get stepped on!!! It was so crowded and they have you wear 3D glasses on the tour. I had difficulty keeping up with DD who was 7 at the time!!!:3dglasses

:crowded:

3D glasses? Aren't the displays already 3D to begin with?

Not 3-D glasses but glasses to make the lights "sparkle"... two years ago the glasses made little angels appear around all the lights... really neat effect!

Unfortunately, the 2 years I went right after New Years, they were already out of the glasses. I've never had a problem with crowds (except the year I went for the AP preview!) I'm not a fan of Fantasmic, so I always time my visit to see the lights while Fantasmic is running. However, one year I learned the hard way that depending on when you finish with the lights and when Fantasmic ends, you can feel like a fish attempting to swim upstream as everyone else rushes to see the Osborne Lights after Fantasmic, and you're trying to leave the park.

Sorry, didn't know what to call them. Just knew they looked like 3-D glasses.
