Osborne Light show questions

Is it best to get there at the start when the lights go on or walk in after the crowd as reduced? Also, does anyone know what Christmas songs are playing at light show? Hoping some fun songs like All I want from Christmas by Mariah.

Last night it wasn't as crowded at opening as it was around 8pm. I think EMH played a part in that. When we walked through the songs I heard were instrumental not voiced. But we walked through very, very quickly.

There's a new dancing lights song, a rendition of Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas, there's also a lot of non dancing songs that are not listed in this article, not sure if there's actually a list.

My favorite non dancing is Carol of the Bells by Pentatonix. Also new this year the announcers don't cut in as much, I only heard them about 3 times throughout the night

A lot depends on the fantasmic schedule that night. My experience is it's busy for the lighting, lightens up during Fantasmic, gets heavy after Fantasmic for a bit, and then slowly gets quieter for the rest of the evening. Remember the lights stay on usually for a hour past posted park closing. The last half hour before they shut off the lights is my favorite. Lots of space to walk and you can get most of the photopass pictures with minimal wait. (That being said, I've never been there the last 10 days of December when I would guess all bets are off and it's constantly crowded)!

We were at DHS for NYE 2014, we watched the fireworks from Echo Lake and then headed to the lights and I took this video. I was extremely surprised as to how empty it was. Keep in mind that DHS closed at midnight and stayed opened until 2am for EMH. We were not staying on property but EMH only applies to attractions so we were able to see the lights after midnight.

They also turn the lights off right at the end of EMH (they don't stay open an hour after EMH ends). At least that's what happened last night. Apparently they still do after regular operating hours though.

They "dance" about every 10-15 minutes all night long, for the length of whatever holiday song they are coordinated to.

So if the park close is 8pm, with F! at 8:30, what time will lights go off?! IDK why its so confusing to me lol! I think because the park "closes" before F! starts lol.
