Ornament Exchange Help.....

Hello,

We are going on a merry time cruise and the meet group decided to do an ornament exchange. Has anyone ever done this before? Do we buy an ornament for each person or do we swap with only one person? Has anyone done this and gotten an ornament that they absolutely love? Pics would be appreciated for ideas. Thanks for all your help in advance.

You'll have to ask your specific exchange group what the "rules" are going to be.

I think, usually, it's one ornament per room, but each group sets it's own parameters for exchanges.

So this is my stupid question then... If there are ten families participating, I need to bring ten ornaments if we do one ornament per room. Is that correct? Is that how it is normally done?

As I said, you need to ask this of the group you're exchanging with. They are the ones who set the rules for the exchange. We don't know what they want to do.

Ok thanks. The question was asked but not responded to on the meet board. Was just curious what the norm was if there even was one. I guess I'll wait till someone answers on the meet board. Thanks again.

I can give an example what our group is doing: we are doing an exchange in groups of 6 cabins (your cabin being the 6th, so you buy/make 5 ornaments to exchange). We are given the numbers of different cabins and then we will hang a bag on the cabin door with our ornament it. But as mentioned, there can be different rules for different groups. Hope you have a good time!

We've had two cruises with ornament exchanges and the rules were completely different. Push for an answer. If you don't get one, suggest what makes sense to you and see if that generates a response.
