Have tent. res. at OWCM, Swan and Portofino. 2 rooms for selves and 8 & 10 yr ch. Have stayed Wilderness Lodge and Hard Rock, but want change. What do you think of the 3?

We've stayed at the World Center and Swan several times. Overall, we did not like the OWC. It is offsite, the decor is boring (country), but the pools were nicer than the Swan. As a Marriott Gold Level, we did not received any benefits.

We really enjoyed our stays at the Swan. It's a Westin hotel, so they have the Heavenly bed and bath amenities. I'm also a Starwood Platinum level Preferred guest, so we were always upgraded to a jr. suite or larger. Also, they provided club access for free. The hotel is also very close to Epcot and MGM.

I have not stayed at the other two, but the Portofino is excellent. I don't see how you could be unhappy there. Check out the Universal Hotels board.

I have stayed at both the Swan and Marriott. Either of them are fine. (I did not get upgraded at either place so the rooms were the basic rooms.)

Personally, I like the Marriott decor better. That pink/green the Swan uses just looks ugly to me. The pool is better at the Marriott, but the location of the Swan is great. Parking is a pain a the Marriott.

Tummy, if you did not receive your "gift" from Marriott you should have mentioned it. My understanding is that if the guest mentions it during their stay the hotel has to give you a $100 credit. So far, I have gotten mine so have not gotten to try this trick!

You can't beat the Swan for the location and the heavenly beds.

The MOWC is a very nice property, but you need a car to go anywhere.

Hi,

I will be staying at both hotels when I'm in orlando in two weeks time.

I'm spending 2 days at the Marriott World Center ( only Marriott Silver Status) and 3 days at the Swan ( I have SPG Platinum status and have been upgraded to the club level room).

Will provide a trip report on my return.

Regards
