Orlando Visitor Toll Pass

I'm glad to see that it is coming back! We used it in December 2019 with no issues whatsoever. I highly recommend it.

We used it pre-COVID and it was GREAT!!!!! However, if you have an EZ Pass at home, all FL toll roads now accept EZ Pass (just started in the last month or so). So you could just bring yours and add your rental car to it.

We too used it pre pandemic and loved it. I have already made a ressie for our Oct dates. I did get some info to not follow the latest I phone upgrade. So I'm not sure what will happen when I go to scan the QR code in a few months. Hopefully someone can share between now and then.

We used it pre-pandemic and just used it again the second week in June. Now you need to set it up on the app and the instructions said to find the "vending machine" in the airport to pick up the pass but when we arrived there were several employees at the machine and one of them made sure I was able to get the pass with no problems. Like before we just dropped it in the return box on the way back into the terminal after we dropped the car off. Super easy to use and so much better than carrying quarters like we used to! :D

We used it our last trip in 2018 and it was so easy. You pick it up when you arrive and just drop in a box on the way out of the rental car area. The only thing to look out for is the rental cars that have a pass in the window you will need to make sure it’s not activated when you leave the rental car lot.

I used it pre-pandemic, also, and it was great! However, I now see that it's all being done by the app, pick-up from a vending machine, etc. I'd like to know if anyone's experienced this, and how it went for them.

Bumping this back up, as we are likely renting a car in 5 weeks. Wondering if there are recent experiences since this thread was started?

We used it in July - it was super easy. We picked up the pass from the vending machine - we had to set up an account on the app beforehand which then gave a QR code to scan at the vending machine. There was someone at the vending machine to make sure it all went smoothly.
Afterward we returned it right to the employee after dropping off the rental, but there are also drop boxes you can leave it in. Just be aware that the vending machine is only on the A side of the terminal - not the B side. It did take a while (over a month) for all charges to finalize on my CC - however, we ended up being owed a refund because we didn't use up the entire $10 charge they place on your card when you pick up the pass.

Where was this vending machine Krista? We are hoping to go in 2022 and this sounds perfect IF as a UK visitor, I can get the app. Sometimes we are barred from US apps

It's on the A side of the terminal across from the rental car counters - I don't remember exactly which counter it was across from, but it was near the Budget counter, next to one of the elevator banks.
