Orlando to Port Canaveral for a non-Dis cruise

We're going to be taking the train from MA to FLA and doing a few days in Disney before heading to Port Canaveral for a Carnival cruise - What's the best option for getting to PC from Orlando? Rent a car one way? Do a shuttle? (Suggestions, if so!) Something else that I have no clue about?

Two adults, one kid will need to be transported on 4/20/13.
