Hi. We have a DVC stay planned for January 26-30th. We're thinking of doing a cruise on the 31st leaving out of Miami or Ft. Lauderdale.

Does anyone know a good way to go from Orlando to Miami/Ft. Lauderdale that's cost effective? I really don't want to drive or I would have just rented a car. Also, as much as I love flying, I'm trying to avoid the hassle of the airport. Any shuttles offered between the tow cities?

Thanks.

While I haven't personally used this yet, I found a service that may help you. The site is www.connect2cruise.com and they offer one way and RT bus service from various Florida cities (including Orlando) to the Ft. Lauderdale and Miami ports. One way from Orlando is $58.95 PP and round trip is $84.95 according to their site.

Hope this helps,

Wow- just what I was looking for yesterday and couldn't seem to find. Am considering a cruise the first week in February and don't want to leave car at the port as it will be packed for return to Rhode Island after spending the month of January in Bradenton area. This looks like my answer - now just have to decide if we really want to do a cruise and then which one.

You could take the train... I have looked into this for my Jan cruise out of FLL. :goodvibes

We've used MH Transportation to travel all over from Disney. There a great family run service from small town cars to vans.

The problem is, once you get to SoFla, it's really hard to get around without a car to the port and such, and taxis are expensive.

It certainly can be done, but you'll likely pay less than $60 for a one way car rental, and possibly hundreds the other way, depending on how many in your party
