Orlando Smackdown: Dis vs. Uni. Ch.16 Japan Hates me, Just Hates me 7-13

<sigh> No. As a woman, you are allowed to use Squee in a sentence. Please allow me to impart upon you a very brief history of the use of Squee on this TR.

Chapter 1, The First Use:

Chapter 2, The Query of the Squee

Chapter 3, The Elucidation

Chapter 4, The Continuation

Chapter 5, The Redemption

So yes you can use it, and yes you're not the only one to come up with a similar definition.

Thanks Pkondz for the effort in putting together the multitude of chapters on the various usage of squee. I think I will just abstain from "squeeing". It's not in my wheelhouse I'm afraid. Gacking and tee-heeing make it into the wheelhouse though. ;)

Which probably means it went from customs.... Wait. Where'd it clear customs? Winnipeg? Or somewhere else? If it cleared here on Thursday, I'll probably get it Monday or Tuesday at the latest (no mail on weekends). If it cleared in Toronto....

I'll get it Monday or Tuesday
or Wednesday
or Thursday

In June.

probably not Friday... I've got a sneeking suspicion that the mail guy's taking an extra day off on Fridays...

Oh my word! Snail express would be faster. I could have genetically remastered carrier pigeons, trained them to withstand the ravages of a Canadian spring and barren wasteland, and they still would have had the package delivered by now.

Seriously, it's been so long that everyone else except for me, you, and Marita has given up any interest in just what is in Plan B.

The rapidity and dependability of the delivery is really bearing the fruit that my ZD thought would never have worked as 438 pounds of dry ice would not have been sufficient. :sad2:

Would you believe that I had the same thought? Where was the customs clearance? At this rate I'm thinking maybe Nova Scotia? :confused3

With personal debt at an all time high all over the planet, our government has decided instead of getting people to stop using plastic that they'd make the cash out of plastic instead.

Stay tuned for adventure.

:rotfl2:

I'm still interested in Plan B.

Philip??? better post pics.

I hated that Malcolm got voted off!!! But at least I get to see that eye candy on the jury.

Betsey, Scarlett is absolutely beautiful!!

You enjoy every second you get with that precious baby!

oh man, I totally missed this, now I'm sad too, him and Flagg were my two favorite recurring guest starrs. But that age doesn't seem right to me,,, no way he looked that oold. Boy, every time we go down there,,, either family or actors I've loved bite the dust,,, but guaranteed that something bad/weird/strange is going to happen.

Bob Crane was muredered when we were on our cruise,,,
A neighbor's house burned down with them in it on our first trip back to Disney on departure day. John Ritter suddenly died,,,,after many years,, they caught the Brown' Chicken killers,,bombs just exploded at the Boston Marathon,,,we watched the high speed OJ/ Bronco escape from Dixie Landings,,recently,,, lost Leslie Nielson and Peter Graves I think the same trip,,,, and of course,, Diane's dad.

Can I throw in a catalytic converer and exhaust system? Believe me,, this list can keep on going. This is why we hate tell people we are going down there,,, they tend to get terrified!

This is why it's so important for me to get hurt each trip;
it tends to hold down collateral damage somewhat

Country Legend George Jones died during the most recent trip as well. "He Stopped Loving Her Today" indeed. I remember that song from when I was a kid. :sad1:

:sad:totally unrelated to anything on this thread, but just because I whined about it before and Phineas Kdonz went to the trouble of finding al link for me" Adler Edelcreme cheese, after I just managed to order a few packs, is SOLD OUT yet again!!!

I'm not quite sure you have the right kiddie book thar in mind. Maybe you were thinking of Pit and the Pendulum?

That's what it's turning into. :worried:

Ahem,, I am a grits lover: a bowl,,, grits,,, lot's of butter, salt,, lots,, pepper, some,, cheese and heated hot hot hot, with a wee bit of garlic powder,,,with two eggs over easy on the side, two good sausage links with them and a piece of white toast, butter and grape jelly spread on one half,,, the other half is for wiping up the egg yolk,,, ( don't want jelly on that piece for that),,,
um ym ummmm "good God Almighty, which way do I steer?"

Preach it Nebo Buffett, preach it. I would sub the sausage for bacon and use scrambled cheese eggs, but I like the overall theme. You and Smidgy have been to Waffle House once, right?

Even I couldn't believe how much you put into the trying to get Ponzi the Zebra Domes, that's too bad it didn't work out. And our original plan would have been way too cruel,, although if ;you had insisted, I would have acquiesced. No, not saying anything more since I'm still not all caught up.

Oh, and Ponzi? About feeling guilty for all they did to try and get them to you?

YUP,,, I would too! :lmao:

You are probably right Nebo. It would have broken his ZD loving heart. My thought was to try to eek at least some laughter from the whole doomed mission.

And no way should Pkondz feel guilty...I wanted to do something for him and the Pkondz family. He's generously spread so much WB love around I genuinely wanted to do something kinda "grand" for him.

Had I known the dry ice, and realistically, the delivery system would have been so fraught with trouble I never would have indicated I was doing something and he would never have known. He would have been pleasantly surprised by Plan B. I grossly underestimated the perils involved with international shipping from the US to Canada.

I feel bad that I couldn't deliver on what I really wanted to give the Pkondz family.

One day it will happen......even if it's buying them for him when we are all in The Mara together at WDW....it will be my treat. ;)

Ok, ok,,, really, it just shows how much you are loved,,, that's a good thing.

others

geesh

I thought you were going to name another aquatic loving mammal. :lmao:

Well I said I would call and ask. I know you mentioned somewhere back, either in this TR or our TR, that you were calling off the wedding because I never called.

Now here's the thing. I would call but I don't know when would be a good time to call. If you're not home, Ruby answers and I tell her to let you know T_Man called, she might think it was a crank call and have the number changed. Plus another fear I have is, I think I have the right number, but if I don't, I don't want to make the FBI's most wanted list along with Buzz.

Hardy, har-har T-man! What do you think are the chances that Pkondz will bail me out if I run into trouble on the person of interest list? Make the call and join me on the list T-Man! :rotfl:

A while back, Buzz asked this question

And I answered

Then Nebo replies

Did I win the all expense paid trip to WDW?

Yup. Buzz will mail the tickets to you encased in 238 lbs of dry ice.

As long as I get them, I don't care how she gets them to me.

Well T-Man, do you like zebra domes? As you reside in the good ole USof A I could easily ship them to you, in the above stated 238 lbs of dry ice, and you would actually receive them and be able to enjoy them. Just let me know.... as somewhere in the Great White North Pkondz's ZD loving heart cries in sorrow.

Good heavens Marita....I need to try it. It's in such high demand!!

Welcome back Nebo and Smidgy. Just wanted you guys to know that I'm still lurking along, but this thread moves too fast for me!

You should! Pile high on lightly toasted French bread, bake in the oven for 10 or so minutes and broil if desired. Not exactly cheap though. $4.79 for 2 triangles plus shipping. But you know, addicts don't care...

Lots of other wonderful things Americans are woefully unaware of. such as liquor filled pralines. and and and ,,,,,,,,

You can train them... but you can't make 'em want to go...

Yesterday....

I pick up Kay from school and bring her home for lunch. (she made herself some soup.... sheesh, you need to know all the details?)
We get home and there's a message on the machine.
Ruby (in a semi state of panic) tells me I need to go to the pharmacy today because the doctor is going on vacation and she needs a prescription filled and if the pharmacy faxes in the request which has to be done today she can get it filled but otherwise she's gonna run out!!!!
"Kay, we gotta leave now!"
We bolt out the door and race to the pharmacy. I breathlessly explain my predicament to the pharmacist who calmly replies, "You know... you could have just phoned for that...." :headache:
Run from the pharmacy back to the car and race over to drop off Kay back at school.
Grab two quick breaths.
Zip over to Elle's school, scoop her up and take her to her orthodontist appointment.
Wait patiently.
After the appointment, whisk her back to school and now I'm running late. I tell her I'm not going to come to a complete stop and she's gonna have to tuck and roll.
Oh, all right. I stopped for a second.
Zoom off to work and arrive at 2:45.
My shift starts at 2:45.

Why am I telling you this?
Because sometime during all that madness, Canada Post tried to deliver a package.
I have no idea who it could be from.

Of course I'm back at work now (6:45am start) so I have to wait until after 3pm before I can go and pick it up.

Philip??? better post pics.

I'm sure I will.

And nope.

I hated that Malcolm got voted off!!! But at least I get to see that eye candy on the jury.

Yeah, I was hoping that either Erik or Sherri would flip.
And you're right, getting to see Andrea on the jury is a nice perk.

:sad:totally unrelated to anything on this thread, but just because I whined about it before and Phineas

nope

Kdonz went to the trouble of finding al link for me" Adler Edelcreme cheese, after I just managed to order a few packs, is SOLD OUT yet again!!!

Well... yeah. You ordered it all!

My thought was to try to eek at least some laughter from the whole doomed mission.

That's spelled "domed".

And no way should Pkondz feel guilty...I wanted to do something for him and the Pkondz family. He's generously spread so much WB love around I genuinely wanted to do something kinda "grand" for him.

We'll type slower for ya. :)

just don't call tonite....
I'm at work.
Almost any night is iffy, but tonite's a no go fer sure.

ummm... Elle is competing on Tuesday night....
Wednesday night is Survivor night.... I don't answer the phone... then Elle has dance at 9pm
Thursday night looks good I think

I will try Thursday night then. I'm guessing you would be in the same time zone as Nebo?

CARP! CARP! CARP! CARP!!!!

I was telling a co-worker about the saga of the lost....

I can't say it.

... the lost things that could not be shipped to Canada.

I finished my tale and something occurred to me.

Then the full impact was felt and the horror of it all was indescribable.

Whenever I order something from Amazon.com or other US entities that don't or can't ship to Canada...

I have them ship to Pembina ND. It's an hour (tops!) drive from my house. I could've had 'em shipped there and gone and brought 'em across the border myself!!!!

OH THE HUMANITY!!!!!!!!!!

On our most recent trip to WDW, DW and I went out of way to try ZD's. We made a special trip just to see if they were as good as Ponzi claims. Here is my honest opinion about them.
Would I eat them again? Yes.
Were they good? Yes.
Were they out of this world, to die for good? No.
Would I go out of my way to get them again? Nope. If I found myself around AKL, I would stop and get some; but I wouldn't make a special trip for them again.
Would I like you to send me them since Ponzi can't have any? But of course. I will make the sacrifice for him. Plus Lady H enjoyed them as well, so I'm sure she wouldn't mind having some.

I will try Thursday night then. I'm guessing you would be in the same time zone as Nebo?

Yup. I do drive Elle to dance on Thursdays... but it's early (5? 6?). I gotta pick her up too later, but roll the dice.... ya never know.

That sounds really good to me. I need to check out the website in a few minutes. My breakfast this week has been the vastly inferior Philadelphia whipped cream cheese on two slices of toasted raisin bread. It's fairly easy to eat in the car on the way to work and dropping DS off at school.

Krauterkase (Herb Cheese) is the one I love, which is sold out, but they have other flavors too which might be better suited to raisin toast. I to don't think my love would go too well with raisins, lol.
