Thanks so much Marita and Sandy! She's past the croup stage and well into the congestion stage. The good news for the cold virus is that it has now moved on to me and DH. It gets to live on and wreak havoc some more.

Are you doing both sides of Uni? Or just Islands of Adventure? Transformers should be open by then. IMO, its similar to Spidey but way better. Don't forget, if you don't want to ride FJ, you can always request to just take the walking tour.

You get more than an honorable mention T-Man! You helped me decide on the time of year. We plan on going to IOA and Uni. I mentioned to DH that Transformers should be open by then and he is excited. Me too of course, but DH has never been to Uni at all, so that will be a great addition. Thanks so much for posting your pictures!

I wish we had a Margaritaville here. Closest one to us is in Vegas. Where they sell these.


As far as we know, Vegas is the only one that sells them in this size. Orlando doesn't have them, but the margaritas there are just as good.

Wow, that looks amazing! Give me until sometime in the summer and I will let you know what the MB Margaritaville offers. DH and I have always talked about eating there, but the crowds are crazy. We will just have to suck it up and eat dinner at 3:30 pm one day! For a great magarita, it would be worth it!

I hope you have fun. You'll have to let us know how the expansion is coming along. After the expansion is done, that's when we'll go back to Orlando.

As a an aside, I just heard on the radio yesterday that Canada has basically quit making pennies and that it is up to the retail merchant as to whether to accept them or not. Any truth to this Professor Pkondz?

Thanks to you and T-Man I believe we have decided to go to Universal in mid-December, prior to venturing over to Disney for the majority of the trip. It will mean taking DS out of school for a few extra days, but elder DD will be in a three day kindergarten so it's a now is a great time type thing. It seems like the perfect time to me.

We have a Margaritaville restaurant in Myrtle Beach. We typically go to the beach for a few days in the summer so we might just have to add it as a "must do" this summer. I've been wanting to try it so now you've given me a good reason.

Yesterday I had this brilliant idea to take the dog for a walk before we were to get this blizzard like storm.

The boys usually take the dog for a walk when they get home from school but with all that snow I think it would not happen. You know teenage boys and responsibilities......

So I get all the way down to the end of the street and its really coming down. The lady at the end of the block does day care in her home and all my past clients now go to her. I see a lady I know walking her daughter up the walk we wave and she says, "Be careful I just say a guy wipe out down the street." I asked her if his name was Nebo and she looked at me like I was on painkillers or something.

So I cross over and start going up another street and someone pulled the sidewalk from under me. I literally flew up into the air and landed on my back. I remember thinking I'm ok, until my head bounced off the cement. That didn't feel good at all. So grateful I had on a hunters hat, a hoodie hat and my jacket hood over that. I think it cushioned the bounce.


I waited a few seconds cause I was expecting to pass out. Cause that is what is suppose to happen right? I kept feeling the snow pelt my face and decided I was going just lie there awake so rolled over onto the grass to get up. Where did this ice come from, there wasn't any on the first street.

I thought for a half of second to continue my walk but I do have some common sense and went home. Tim is home, yes go home.

Where this common sense was before I left the house I have no idea.

Ok they tell you to fall and do all this stuff so you fall with minimal damage and I am thinking who has time to think and react to an unplanned fall? All I can think about is I really hope no one just saw that.

But why would I want no one to see that, cause I could have been really seriously hurt and then I would be in need of someone to see it so I could get help, silly.

I am walking now on the oppostie side of the street that I had previously been walking on and within two houses I slid on ice again, this time doing a semi-graceful yet painful half splits. Avoid the ice, that is what you are thinking right. It's covered in snow I can't see it. I start to just walk on the grass.

Now I am peeved. Terribly angry that I have falled twice. The snow is falling sideways coming at me and going under my glasses into my eyes.

I cross back over to the safe side of the street and get home.

I feel a dull headache but surprisingly my neck and back of head feel perfectly fine. I went to work and everything was fine.

I dodged the fall I thought

Wrong.

I woke up today as if I get hit by a truck. The pain in my neck is scary, it hurts to press on the sides of my neck and I have very limited motion.

If I laugh or sneeze I am in trouble. My boys have made every effort to make me laugh today. That's love right there!

What ever evil voodoo spell you have cast over me, take it off. Now I know why you called me Demonica.

Aww, Mony, I feel for you, I can relate too.

Back in July of 2000, I was in a deep funk about stuff. And my BIG dog, Russian Wolfhound mix, 90 lbs or so,was never taken for a walk. So I said, poor baby, we both never get out, so I will take you for a walk. Walk out with him on a leash wrapped around my hand. We cross the yard, get to the sidewalk, and he spots another dog and takes off. With the leash wrapped around my hand, I cant let go easily, so I litterally flew through the air and landed with the side of my face on the sidewalk. Yes, I did see stars. Neighbors came running. Luckily, no major injuries, but I was sore for a few days and scraped hands and face too.

Anyway, hope you feel better soon

PS: that was the last time I took the dog for a walk until he died in 2010

PPS: he did run in the yard and the kids took him to the dog park, lest I get skewered by dog lovers. Just walking wasnt a big thing generally.

yes it's late. just gothome from work.. sure the night we have a polish rock band and I have to stay till close is the night jeremy calss me at work to see if he can bring the kids over in the morning.. for the whole day....I really miss them, they are so cute.. let's see how cute I think they are in the morning.

Yes and I'm not sure and neither is anybody else.

We did stop making pennies just a few days ago. Eventually everything will be rounded to the nearest nickel. Or not.

Apparently pennies will always be legal tender at businesses that choose to accept them. I have no idea who will accept them or not or why or why not.

Confused yet? So's everybody! The weirdest thing that happened to me recently was at the grocery store. I bought a few items. The clerk was swiping the items through the scanner when he says, "Milk is $2.79 rounded up to $2.80". Okay, so that's how they do it.... except my total bill for everything came out to something like $26.83.

Of course it was only later that I realized that the rounding should only occur after the final total is calculated. Otherwise you get this:

"Okay you've bought 10,000 frammajammits at 68 cents each, rounded up to 70 cents... so that'll be $7000. Too bad you didn't buy it before the penny died 'cause then it was only $6800.

Whoops! Missed this one.

Here's the back story. Elle is turning 16 this spring and we wanted to do something special for her. "How about a trip to Disney." Says I. Sounds good, let's do it. Ummm... but in a few years Kay will turn 16 and we'll have to do something just as big. What if we can't afford it? Okay, no birthday trip for Elle, we'll do something a little less monetarily demanding. But I still think we should take a holiday, but in the summer when we can all go and not worry about the spring break madness or missing school. Okay, we'll go to Disney in the summer. Sounds good, let's do it. Ya know, you can fly to Europe for about the same cost as a flight to Orlando... Kids have never been... Let's go to Europe!

So the tickets are bought and the hotels are set. We fly to Paris, spend a few days, then over to Cologne Germany to see the Cathedral, take a short cruise on the Rhine, spend a few days in Bavaria (top of the list there is Neuschwanstein castle, which is the real castle that Walt Disney based his Sleeping Beauty castle on), pop over to Venice for a couple of days then home.

A bit of a whirlwind trip but the idea was to give the kids a taste of Europe before Elle started University or working or whatever and wouldn't be able to join us.

And before anyone asks... no, we have no plans to go to Disneyland Paris.
