Orlando Smackdown: Dis vs. Uni. Ch.16 Japan Hates me, Just Hates me 7-13

wdwdiane, you were supposed to post the pictures you took with us!!!

buzz, I agree, both those movies were grat. he is a great actor!

ps. while we were in disney, our youngest son Jeremy called, to say they won't be able to join us at disney for quite a while... because.. they are having another baby!!!:cool1:. grandchild #6, due to arrive in early august!!!!! :yay:

Congratulations on the grandbaby news! I am so excited for you and Nebo!

You spected sumpin else? Hmm?

Yup, and not just there but in almost everything you post. I suspect there are planted "easter eggs" for all of us. It wouldn't be a Nebo TR if I didn't laugh(sometimes until I cry), sigh, and bang my head against the wall.......all at the same time. How's that for multi-tasking? ;)

4 dozen Red Ryder BB Guns comin' right up~!!

As Carrie says below, No way! "You'll shoot your eye out!!!"

I love that movie and National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation!

And would you believe that I had a similar experience with "The Sixth Sense" as you did with "Primal Fear"? I said that Bruce Willis was dead as soon as the movie started. I completely ruined the movie for my friend. :sad2:

Nebo, nice teaser opening!

Trust me, we will let you know when we are bored with a TR that you write. We will all disappear to watch "The Voice", "Survivor", The Amazing Race" etc.....you know, all the really meaningful TV shows. ;)

Until we do let you know, just assume we want to continue to be entertained Maximus and keep writing the TRs. You can take it to the bank that my vote will always be for Nebo TRs to be written.

And wow! Six grandkids is something! My parents now have five grandkids and my brother has yet to contribute to that number so I suspect it will be higher at some point. DS is desperate to have a boy majority so there's pressure for the tide to turn. Right now there is a girl majority much to his dismay.

YAY !! For an update !! Still no insight yet into how many of these you needed ...............

:cool1:oh so much good news so little time. Mony congrats congrats congrats! Love the new avatar!

Nebo and Smidgy:cheer2: on the new grand baby!

How was the Candlelight Processional? I have never seen one but out here they had a drawing for the annual pass holders for seats at ours and Lance got picked so next week we get to go for the first time. Ours it in the Town square with the stage area on the stairs for the disneyland railroad. We are pretty happy about it.
congrats again

honey, your well will never run dry. you have intelligence, creativity, imagination, and sense of humor, (with a little bit of weirdness thrown in).

I am looking forward to reading about our trip. yeah, I know I was there, but it always makes me laugh and smile to hear it told by you. there is a difference between trip "reporting" and story telling. and you tell a great tale!!

Thank you when I posted it on fb I titled it: Mommas got a new hat!

It was fun sporting it and when we went out to dinner I still wore it; had to get my money's worth.

Little bit?

Oh you are married to him you have to be nice! I know, I'm married to one just like him.

You're exactly right Smidgy! I would love to be able to write, I mean, I can write, but it's not funny or entertaining or creative. I'm lucky if it's intelligent ;)
and I use way too many commas! But I can spell fairly well :upsidedow Any way Nemo, keep writing and I'll keep trying to get the inside jokes and references that usually go way over my head :flower3:

Congrats on the new grandbaby on the way! I am also very happy to be here for the marathon, and I agree Nebo - a big part of what makes your trip reports so great (aside from your excellent writing) is all of the contributions your readers make to keep things going. We're like a great, big, happy, strange, wacky, dysfunctional family. :joker:

Oh Geesh, here we go again.

Well, I dunno. Now I don't have to continue with pretending I'm someone else pretending to write like them pretending to have been somewhere I've never or seldom been.

Six reports ago I said I was done, the magazine is empty,
the well was dry, the gold rush was over, Big Sam and Goerge had left Nome and Jack and Jill came back empty handed.

Oh look! There's still a few shots left, I see some water still at the bottom, there's a new vein that was found so Sam and George turned back before they reached Seattle and Jack and Jill were empty handed but their pockets were full.

(Is anybody hearing, "We Go On" at the end of Illuminations?)

No.

I've only seen Illuminations once in the past decade... two times in total (although it might have been called something else back then.)

What is always a challenge to me, is to not repeat some of my
favorite stories and one liners, that's hard to do when you don't have anything "groundbreaking, earthshaking, gutwrenching, or just plain old funny" to write about.

I hear ya! And I've only written the one TR!

But we will soldier on. A trip report is more a marathon than a sprint, no two ways about it, and it's always interesting to see who reaches the finish line with me that started at the beginning.

So since I came in the middle of Oil Wells... did that make me the Rosie Ruiz of that TR?

Yes, the readers are the marathon contestants, and 26 miles is a long way to read. And I don't want to end up with just the Kenyans, besides, I don't see President Obama posting here.

What have you got against Kenyans?

And Obama does post here, but he posts under Fluffybunny1600… that’s probably why you didn’t recognize him.

This is where all of you come in to play an important role, for I can't do this without you.

You do realize that we can't do this without you, right?

Your interactions, interjections, interplay, foreplay, (whoops, how'd that get in there,?) well, all of your posts are what's going to help make this worth reading.

I'm pleased that you enjoy our intercourse.

Or perhaps I should say DIScourse.

Perhaps

You will also be the rest areas, the water stations, along the marathon route,

Great. My momma always said, "Son, make something of yourself. Make a difference in this world."

So now I've been reduced to being called a rest area.

Wonderful. Now my mother can get off my back.

even the parachutes that brought someone much needed help in the Hunger Games, that will
also be you. (shut up Prim)

and Proper.

Soon Lee, wasn't she in MASH?

Yes. And the reason poor Klinger never got to go home.

We just got the new calender last week, and by the time
we went through it marking down dates in all the pages,
by the time we got to December 31 it was like:
"Man, it was a hell of a year, wasn't it?"

:lmao:

Yes, I know, this was a demitasse of chapters, but it's the opening one, it doesn't count against me!

Maybe not... but I can't believe you used the word demitasse!!! :faint:

4 dozen Red Ryder BB Guns comin' right up~!!

Can mine have a compass in the stock and this thing that tells time?

And would you believe that I had a similar experience with "The Sixth Sense" as you did with "Primal Fear"? I said that Bruce Willis was dead as soon as the movie started.

He's WHAT???????

Fingers? Most people use 8 and throw in a pair of thumbs as part of the deal.

there is a difference between trip "reporting" and story telling. and you tell a great tale!!

::yes:: There's a reason he has so many fans.

We're like a great, big, happy, strange, wacky, dysfunctional family. :joker:

 True! With the possible exception of perhaps being DISfunctional as well.

"You'll shoot your eye out kid!"
DH and I just went to the house where it was filmed. The old Highbee's store where the santa scene was filmed is now a casino! We went there on Saturday. Before that we went to a restaurant called Brasa. Its like an Ohana on steroids!
I turned 40 last week and I'm in mourning.

Congrats to everyone on graduations, babies and anything else there is.

40? Oh, poor baby. I wonder what happened to the lamp?

honey, your well will never run dry. you have intelligence, creativity, imagination, and sense of humor, (with a little bit of weirdness thrown in).

Thanks. But now it seems to have morphed into the Neverending Tale.

The CP was very nice, Smidgy likes it more than me, though, I wasn't aware they had it in D-Land.

You're exactly right Smidgy! I would love to be able to write, I mean, I can write, but it's not funny or entertaining or creative. I'm lucky if it's intelligent ;)

:rotfl: You know, every time I see a post from you I have to think of; "Nice software Stephanie"
What's that from?

Nebo, you know I'm here for the marathon! :cool1:

Yay Marita, you've been like a sister to me all these years.

Hey where'd the Buzz post go?

Yup, and not just there but in almost everything you post. I suspect there are planted "easter eggs" for all of us. It wouldn't be a Nebo TR if I didn't laugh(sometimes until I cry), sigh, and bang my head against the wall.......all at the same time. How's that for multi-tasking? ;)

Buzz, believe me, when I plant Easter eggs, if nobody catches them I'm pointing them out! Ponzi's good at laying eggs too, that's why I love it when he misses one.

As Carrie says below, No way! "You'll shoot your eye out!!!"

I love that movie and National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation!

I was actually mad at myself for not figuring out Brucie was dead until the great reveal.

:rotfl: You know, every time I see a post from you I have to think of; "Nice software Stephanie"

Thanks to google, I can tell you it's from something called "Speck". Unfortunately because my job doesn't let me use Youtube I am clueless. I guess I have the rest of the afternoon to speculate :rolleyes2

Like I said, most of it goes right over my head:duck:

Heh. That's what my DDs do, too.

I've put myself on hold unless Nebo tells me to post another. I don't want to be posting if he's ready to go.

Don't mess with a girl's Daddy's mustache. It won't be pretty. Just sayin'

Congrats to being a 6 time Grand couple!! My paternal grandmother had 12 grandkids, and three great grands by the time she passed at age 93!

Nebo, This is the only kind of marathon I'll be running. er reading.

Rest stops don't suit me - I don't want to be a rest stop. I think I want to be a speed bump. You know, the kind you fail to see and, therefore, drive over at 30 miles per hour, thus sending your kid's Happy Meal to the ceiling and back? That's me. So - here I am - along wth everybody else - just waiting for the party to begin - just waiting - and waiting - anyone bring snacks? :hourglass
