Hi. Could use some input here... We are heading to Orlando in may and currently have booked 5 nights at Wyndham Grand (in a bunk room) and 3 nights at Disney Beach Club. I'm rethinking the Wyndham. We r 2 adults 3 kids ages 16 13 and 4. I think we'd like more room. It's not necessary that we stay on site and I'm concerned about the crowd there. My 4 year old is autistic and does not like noise. In the park we do with noise blocking headphones but she can't wear those at the pool. Anyway we are going to legoland universal n MK so we can be anywhere. My number one priority is cleanliness! Then great pool/play area, restaurant, separate bedroom. Since are only doing 3 days in the parks we will use the facilities a lot. Looking at Bonnet creek, Floridays, marriot cypress etc. so CONFUSED! Please help!

Thank you guys in advance!!

I haven't stayed at the properties you are considering. Mystic dunes has a main pool and "quiet" pools. I have noticed the majority of people go the main pool and the quiet pools are relatively empty. So a property with several pools may work nicely for your little one :)

most of the pool areas are going to be noisy.

kids just like to scream and the resorts play the loud music to drown them out.

have you consider a house w/a pool ?

Are you set on a resort? Ever consider renting a villa? My 13 year old is on the spectrum and we absolutely love Windsor Hills where for under $200/night we get a 4 br/4 ba home with a game room, private pool, etc. Everyone gets their own room and bathroom plus they have a community pool with slide and a few playgrounds. We alternate between on and offsite each trip. This Easter we have a 3br/3ba townhouse with a splash pool ($100/nt) for 4 nights then 3 nts at Coronado Springs.

Wyndham Bonnet Creek has great rooms from what I've seen and read. We're booked in one through a friend. This is the setup for a 2 bedroom:

People have booked through vacationupgrades.com and have paid $120/night. The couple who owns the company are very nice.

We have stayed at Bonnet Creek (this past Oct--first time) and we loved it. Our room was nice and quiet (tower 4, upper floor, pool/lake view), but the pool areas were noisy and crowded at times.
We are considering Windsor Hills for our next trip (for 2 weeks in June 2014) since it will be a longer trip. They have pool homes or townhomes with a splash pool (smaller) that you wouldnt have to share. My understanding is that WH is very close to the parks.

My friend requested Tower 3 for us because she said it's in a quieter area. The pool is also she said what Disney would call a quiet pool. Of course there may be noise sometimes but she said it's not as busy as the other areas.

My child is autistic too. The thing I worry about renting a home is trying to secure multiple doors. I like Disney resorts as there is only one door to the room. The pools have lifeguards. There are quiet pools that are almost always empty.

The Wyndham looks very nice. Maybe just pick one and not do a split stay as that may be very tiring with a young autistic child.

True about the doors. We're very fortunate that DS has never been a runner.
