Before we hit the parks on our trip in September we’d really like to spend a couple of days in Orlando Orlando (if you know what I mean!). In 2019 we went to the football / soccer which was great fun and we quite fancy exploring a bit of Orlando for probably 2 nights / days before heading to Universal and Disney.

Which neighbourhoods would you recommend / hotels to stay in / things to do? I’ve seen a lot about Winter Park, Winter Garden, Lake Nona and the Milk District but I’d love to hear people’s experiences.

We’re a couple, 34 and 40 - love trying different foods, craft beer and in terms of activities we honestly just like exploring whatever an area has to offer like the football or doing something active.

Thanks so much :)

I can't help with the neighborhood question, but you should clarify which sport you are asking about. Football and soccer are two completely different sports in the U.S. Or are you interested in both?

Both! All or any sport - always fun to go to! We’ve done the soccer in Orlando but I’d happily go again :)

About the only American football in Orlando is college bowl games, but those are in December.

Of the areas you list, I'd probably do Winter Park. The Morse museum, the boat ride, restaurants, shopping--lots to do.
