Our tickets are purchased!!! (that calls for some dancing bananas!)
After seeing the game we wanted, but not the seats we wanted, on the Visit Orlando website, I chatted with a VO agent online who told me that other seats were available upon request. For the Dec. 29th gave vs. the Toronto Raptors, she found me seats in the section we wanted (114), row 14, seats 10, 11 and 12 for $194 per ticket

(we knew "good seats" would be pricey, though, and were okay with the cost.....I was just thrilled I could purchase them today and be done with the final item on the vacation "to-do" list!). One little bonus....by buying through the VO site, they don't charge more than face value for the tickets (like some Stubhub vendors do) and there's no Ticketmaster service charges

. Total price for our order is quoted at $616.92 with tax.
So....I call hubby, verify that the seats are to his liking before we commit, then call Debbie back at Visit Orlando to put through the purchase. She places me on hold for a few moments, and to kill time I start looking through the Visit Orlando website. There's a section that says "Deals for Canadians", so I click on it, and voila! Up comes an offer for Orlando Magic Tickets ("save up to $15 per ticket"). Every little bit helps, right? So, Debbie comes back on, and I ask her about the offer. She directs me to call the Tourism Hotline at the Orlando Magic office to see what they can do for me.
So......I call the Hotline and speak with Shawn (or Sean?), who offers me the same section, same row, BETTER seats (on the aisle

) for $160 per seat, taxes included, plus one $5 service charge for the entire order. Total order = $485.....a $131.92 savings from the Visit Orlando cost.
14 rows from the floor. We should be able to smell the sweat!
If you want to give the Orlando Magic Tourism Hotline a call to see if they can reserve you tickets, the number is 407-916-2969. I don't think you'd qualify for the same discount (unless you too are a Canadian resident) but they might be able to find you some good tickets rather than going through a third party vendor like Stubhub. I have my tickets in hand and delivery was free via email.
Might be a good place to try, OP
