Hi all, I was wondering if someone knew from personal experience which companies are safe and reliable to order tickets for a Magic basketball game other than Ticketmaster.

Are you trying to save money vs. the gate price, or are you trying to see a sold out game?

We actually were planning on going to the season opener, its the only game we'll get a chance to see. Was looking on Ticketmaster and right now until Oct 1 you need a code to access seats. If I had that code it would be great. The seats look pretty limited.

We are also anxiously awaiting the release of tickets via Ticketmaster. We want to attend the Magic/Raptors game during Christmas week.

Stubhub has a large selection of tickets. Visit Orlando also has tickets for sale, but seat selection seems pretty limited:

Tickets via Ticketmaster are released as of October 1st, so I think we might wait and see what's available there before we commit elsewhere. Its less than two weeks away.....hopefully I can wait that long :rotfl: .

Stubhub is the other place I'd be inclined to look. Some fraction of that inventory will be season ticket holders looking to unload individual games for whatever reason.

Our tickets are purchased!!! (that calls for some dancing bananas!)

After seeing the game we wanted, but not the seats we wanted, on the Visit Orlando website, I chatted with a VO agent online who told me that other seats were available upon request. For the Dec. 29th gave vs. the Toronto Raptors, she found me seats in the section we wanted (114), row 14, seats 10, 11 and 12 for $194 per ticket :crazy2: (we knew "good seats" would be pricey, though, and were okay with the cost.....I was just thrilled I could purchase them today and be done with the final item on the vacation "to-do" list!). One little bonus....by buying through the VO site, they don't charge more than face value for the tickets (like some Stubhub vendors do) and there's no Ticketmaster service charges :thumbsup2 . Total price for our order is quoted at $616.92 with tax.

So....I call hubby, verify that the seats are to his liking before we commit, then call Debbie back at Visit Orlando to put through the purchase. She places me on hold for a few moments, and to kill time I start looking through the Visit Orlando website. There's a section that says "Deals for Canadians", so I click on it, and voila! Up comes an offer for Orlando Magic Tickets ("save up to $15 per ticket"). Every little bit helps, right? So, Debbie comes back on, and I ask her about the offer. She directs me to call the Tourism Hotline at the Orlando Magic office to see what they can do for me.

So......I call the Hotline and speak with Shawn (or Sean?), who offers me the same section, same row, BETTER seats (on the aisle :cool1:) for $160 per seat, taxes included, plus one $5 service charge for the entire order. Total order = $485.....a $131.92 savings from the Visit Orlando cost. :thumbsup2

14 rows from the floor. We should be able to smell the sweat! ::yes::

If you want to give the Orlando Magic Tourism Hotline a call to see if they can reserve you tickets, the number is 407-916-2969. I don't think you'd qualify for the same discount (unless you too are a Canadian resident) but they might be able to find you some good tickets rather than going through a third party vendor like Stubhub. I have my tickets in hand and delivery was free via email.

Might be a good place to try, OP :) .

I am Candadian also, I may call just to find out if I can purchase tickets as well. Thanks for the heads up.

Just purchased my tickets as well. Used the Deal for Canadians code. Got section 8 row #16. Not quite as good as section 114 but we're going to be right next to the Magic players tunnel. Got a good rate to of $315 for 3 tickets. Mid court section was around $190 per ticket. Little to much for me. Looking forward to it. Thanks Gina!!

Yes, I got them immediately. I was still on the phone with the agent when they came through. I would call and let them know.
