Orlando was picked 2nd by some sort of algorithm the writer was using. I don't think it's very good. There are certainly lots of LGBT residents but I find many other cities a lot more active for the LGBT community. I was shocked when the article said because of GayDays Orlando is so high. That's 1 week a year and most of those folks are gone back home afterwards. That's like saying you are a well paid server when, at one meal, a rich diner leaves you a humongous tip once a year, but every other work day you are getting the average 15%-20%.
Heck, we don't have a real performing arts theater (yes, it's being built but that's years away) or even a leather bar here.
For a good LGBT community you need culture, something Orlando is greatly lacking in.
