Orlando International Fringe Theatre Festival

I just wanted to chime in with my huzzahs to The Well (:scared1:AHHHHH!:scared1:) of Horniness. Congrats QCast Michael and the entire cast for a great show. Here's hoping you get Patron's Pick.

And if there's any other reason to go to Fringe-it's the food. Soul Food, Greek Food, Kettle Corn, Funnel Cakes, and soft-serve ice cream. YUM!:worship::worship::worship:

Glad you made it, Rob! (sorry about the not breathing thing, tho! :rotfl:)

Also VERY glad you introduced yourself! As you no doubt witnessed, it gets a little insane over there, especially as some shows are letting out and others are setting up, etc. I had so many things going on in my head at once, I apologize if I was a little un-focused!

The food's been pretty good so far. I've sampled the pizza, the gyros, and the soft-serve ice cream with great results. My funnel cake was too well-done, but I'm willing to give it another shot!

Will you be going back for any more shows?

Don't worry about being a little bit distracted, I totally understand. I almost didn't introduce myself to you before the show because I know how hectic it must be. But then you were standing there talking to Robyn and there's now way we weren't going to say hello to her. So ther you go . . .

We're hoping to get back out to Fringe next weekend a little bit. Between oral surgery for me tomorrow morning and family in town to hit the parks all week, and Scott's performace schedule in Li'l Abner and his first rehearsal for the Mikado, it's going to be a very hectic week for us. :faint: If we had time, I think we'd see your show again, just to catch what we missed the first time from laughing so hard. I agree with Scott in hoping you guys get Patron's Pick.

Our funnel cake was cooked perfectly, so definitetly give them another try. We hit the gyro booth for lunch as well, but had the souvlaki. It was very good, too!

Congrats to Michael!

his show The Well of Horniness won the "Paton's Pick" for the venue they were performing in!

That means they sold the most tickets for that venue, and get to do an extra peformance on Memorial Day!

Kudos to all involved!

:yay:

WoW! Gratz Michael!!! :cheer2:

Michael, congrats on winning patrons pick! My partner and I loved it! The "Opps, dropped the fork" scene had me in tears! And your hubby's show was a hoot, too!

Thanks all! Yup, this year's Fringe Festival is over and was a huge success for our show. "The Well of Horniness" not only was named Patron's Pick for our venue, but we also received an award for being the show with the most sold out performances (7 out of 8) and the "Faggy Fabby" award, which is basically an award for being the gayest show in the festival. Word is that it's the first time a female-oriented show has won that award.

TheDailyCity.com was also holding an award ceremony, The Patron's Choice awards, and our show won Best in Venue. There's talk of re-mounting the show at the Parliament House in August, but that'll depend on everyone's swamped schedules!

The big plus is that I now have my life back (sorta!), can get ready for Gay Days, and get back to recording podcasts!

Congratulations for a great show! Sorry I didn't get to see it!

Keep us posted about this, I could make room in my schedule for this! :thumbsup2
