I did a search and found nothing on the Orlando Entertainment Book. I have used these on lots of trips to different cities. Is there any value to purchasing the one for Orlando? We will be driving down so we can leave the property. We are staying on site at PO - Riverside.

Any information about this would be great!

you can pre-view the book on the entertainment book web site there are alot of good discounts outside of wdw, but I don't remember seeing anything for wdw

My husband and I use the book every year. There are a lot of 2-for-1 to local restaurants and discounts to other attractions like Gatorland(2-4-1). I have always gotten my moneys worth. If you plan to eat off-site, I would look into it.

I went to entertainment.com, put in Orlando, FL and clicked on Preview Book. It gives you choices of what you want to preview.

When are you going in January? We are going to be there 1/7-1/8. I bought a book and got a condo for $55 a night, as well as some great deals on food. I am trying to plan our meals based on what coupons are in there, and it drives my DH crazy!! I already saved the price of the book on the condo deal!!

It really depends on whether you plan to dine off-property. If so, there are many restaurants in the LBV/Kissimmee area that have coupons in the book. However, if you plan to dine mainly on-property, I don't think the Orlando book will be as good a deal for you. You may be better off getting a book for your local area and sticking with the national values.

We have only purchased the Entertainment Book for trips of 10 days or more. In 2000 our trip was a budget trip for 16 days. We split the trip: 8 days offsite (Magic Castle) , 5 days Grosvenor, 3 days Dixie Landings (now POR). I ordered the book well in advance and made a chart of the food and entertainment options which were of interest to us. I coordinated the Entertainment offers using a detailed street map of the greater Orlando area. It was a lot of (fun) work but it paid off. We saved $289, over the original cost of the Entertainment book. We used it for meals, dinner theater, miniature golf, etc. We left the unused portion of the book in the rental car for whoever might find it.
I spent many months researching prices on everything to get the very best rates possible. The total cost, including air fare, accomodations, rental car, 6 day WDW passes, food, and all other spending, for our 16 day trip for 2 adults was just under $3000.
