Orlando car rental

I'm not sure what board to post this in...
Car rental prices for Feb are really expensive from MCO - if you use a car rental co that's not located "in terminal" the prices are much cheaper. How far away are these places? Anyone have experience with this? Thanks!

The further out you look the higher the price. The closer you get to your travel date the prices are lower. So don't fret. I have taken 52 trips to WDW and I book my car the Tue before I leave because the last minute prices are released. For Thanksgiving I paid $116 In Oct I paid $120 both were for a weekly rental

I definitely agree with this. If you're worried about getting a car, lock in a rate now so you at least know you've got a reservation, but then keep checking in as the trip gets closer. Prices are likely to drop, especially last minute...rental companies would rather get $20/day for their car than let it just sit in the lot.

We've rented off site, I think it was EZ Rent-A-Car if I remember. It took a few extra minutes of our time, but it wasn't really that bad. The shuttle picked us up fairly quick (we called them while we were waiting for our bags at baggage claim). The ride was maybe 10 minutes. Good thing was that it wasn't crowded, unlike Enterprise or Avis, so we had no wait at the counter. Got our minivan and were on our way.
