Has anyone found a good up to date map of the Orlando area including hotels, restaurants and attractions? I would love to find something easy to handle and that won't rip and is easy to read. Any suggestions?
Given the amount of turnover of hotel affiliations and closures/changes in restaurants, I think that any commercial map that you'd buy would be out of date by the time it was printed. But there are maps out on the web that might be helpful. I'd suggest trying the convention center's tourist website - www.orlandoinfo.com - as a place to start. They have an interactive map that uses Google Maps to plot locations of hotels, restaurants, attractions, shopping and more that's probably as up-to-date as anything you'll find. I don't know if those maps are printable or if you'd have to transfer locations to another map but you'd at least have an idea of where things are located in relation to one another.
If you have a smartphone, try Google Maps. It pinpoints all of the points of interest, and will give you directions there. Mine does everything but drive the car for me... (hmmm, maybe with Android 2.2?)
