We just got back from taking our son to Orlando for the WDW College Program and we stayed a week offsite at Hilton Grand Vacation Tuscany.

We had the pleasure of eating at Orlando Ale House twice and have to say that it is our favorite restaurant in all of Orlando. My DW had a lobster dinner for $15.95 and when she ordered it I didn't know what to expect but they brought out about a 1 1/2 lb lobster that was absolutely delicious. We could not get that meal here in Va Beach for under $40. They also had Cabo Wabo margaritas for $3.95.

We have now eaten there about 5 times in the past couple years (we are always in Orlando during basketball season and have to go there to find our team which is why we have been there so much), but it is truly a unique place and an absolute great value and great place to eat and enjoy a game.

I was wondering if anyone else had similar experiences at Orlando Ale house?

It is one of the more reasonably priced restaurants located just outside of the gates of Disney, and yes the food is very good!

The place is also a hang out for many Cast Members after work, and during lunch!

Warning......don't get the nachos unless you have at least 4 people at your table, that platter is HUGE!

You guys are killing me!!! thought we were the only ones who new about Miller's Orlando Ale House. It's the best.

We never miss at least two visits to OAH as I write it on my trip plans. We love their buffalo wings and a basket of fries. Very reasonable food and drink prices and great service. If the parking lot is full don't worry, don't think we have ever had to wait for a table.

:cheer2:

The parking lot is ALWAYS full! But dont worry, yes there are usually tables, the parking lot is just too small! Park behind the Ale House and you will be fine. Do NOT park in the 7-11 parking lot! You will be towed!

If you are headed to Disney from OIA and are taking the 417, there is also an Ale House off of the John Young Parkway exit, turn right (Left if you are comming from Disney). Makes a nice stop between Disney and the airport!

We have an Ale House here in Ocala and its great. When I lived in Orlando, we had one on our side of town by UCF, and I watched many a games there. Glad to hear they've put one near WDW:thumbsup2

Orlando Ale house is a must visit on every trip to Orlando. But it seems that no matter how many people we take, 4,5,6,7 - we have never finished a plate of nachos. Also they will bring you as many "boats" (salsa, sour cream, etc.) as you want so you can make a valiant attempt at finishing those nachos. :thumbsup2

Yes I went there a year ago and I Love their chicken nachos. YUMMY!! All their apps looked really good. fun and friendly place.

Ale House is my fav restaurant....everybody HAS to try their ZINGERS!!! The BEST! I was so glad that we had 2 Ale Houses close to UCF.....so many zinger/cajun burger meals were had in my UCF days :)

I fell in love with this place back in '95 or '96. They have the best food of anyone in Oralndo IMO. I think the one near Universal is better than the one closer to Disney but they're both GREAT! Every meal is HUGE! One of my faves....the spicy chicken and pasta. OMG, delicious! I think it's @ $10.

Someone asked about kids...mine love it! The way it's set up you can hang at the bar area or get a table away from all of that. Kids menus...also great price and selection.

is this an ok place to bring a 6 yr old?

Yes it is fine to bring children. We have been to 2 locations (The one near WDW and the one on Kirkman which is close to Universal) and both are set up identical. As you enter there is bar and to the left of the bar they have a sit down section with booths and to the right of the bar they have a large area with high tops and some booths. A majority of the big screens are on the side with the high tops and they have some pool tables on that side also.

But each time we have been we have seen children. Although it has a bar it seems that there is very little smoking and it seems to have a higher class clientele (maybe because of the proxmity to WDW)

I first went to Orlando Ale House when I did the College Program back in 98 (Damn, I'm getting old). Its a great place. The food is good, and very reasonably priced. They also have great drink specials if you are there for happy hour or later in the night.

Also if you are in town and want to see a sporting event they have no problem looking the game up and changing the tvs where you are sitting to the game. Most sports bars I have been too don't seem to like being asked to change the channels but the Ale House's staff has been great.

If you go to the one on Kirkman, Christian is one of the managers and he was awesome.

For the amount of food you get the prices are unbelievable. I am not sure how they even make any money.

I agree that the one near Universal (on Kirkman) is a bit better just because there is a little more parking and the one near WDW always seems packed.

Miller's opened two Ale House chains in the Philadelphia area over the past year, and I can happily say that they're pretty much identical to the ones I've hit in FL. The bad news is that it's not as special hitting any of the FL Miller's, as I've now got one in my backyard

We have never been to the ones in Orlando but the one Brandon, near Tampa is so good.

For a place with so many taps the beer selection is pretty sad.

Love the Ale House...great lunch specials and the drinks are good too:)

Could someone tell me how I would get there from CBR? I went to the OAH website but when I clicked on the link mapquest didn't recognize the address. We may want to try this place on our upcoming trip in 11 days. This is our first onsite stay with a car so we are looking for good offsite places to try.
