If this is in the wrong srea, please remove. Orlando Airport has decided to cease operations at 2 am Monday !morning as an abundance of caution, per WFLA, channel 8 in tampa.

Moderator note: I edited the title to reflect that OIA has rescinded the closure. Please continue to monitor your flight status if you’re flying into or out of Orlando over the next few days, the forecast is still uncertain and the situation may change.

The full report from Orlando Airport is elsewhere in this forum, but thanks for the headsup!

As of Sunday morning the 2 AM Monday closing has been rescinded.

But keep in touch with your airline; things could change again. You will need to show up for your Magical Express ride back to the airport unless you know for a fact your flight has been cancelled.

While DME back to the airport can be reserved on shorter notice than morning of the day before the day you will check out, many guests will be changing plans and rebooking flights becaue of the hurricane. Some guests might have to take DME 4 hours in advance of their flights home (5 hours for international) if that is the only way DME can fit them in.

Also, typically the last flights in will be a few hours before airport closing and the planes will load up with the last scheduled flights of passengers and depart before closing.

First flights out will typically be a few hours after the airport re-opens, after planes have freshly arrived as scheduled incoming flights.
