Original opening day ticket from Epcot 35 years ago! Happy Birthday Epcot!

Thank you! I know that it may be a little too Disney Nerd, but I hope I among friends here. :)

Well if you're a nerd then so am I! I have that ticket, too! Along with other EP opening day and pre-opening items. I love collecting WDW memorabilia!

Ok I feel better now! I would love to see what you have.

My parents bought a bunch of tickets back in the '70s and '80s. I'll have to dig through my dad's dresser next time I visit and see if there are any still in there.
Look for original maps and ticket books. When Disney first opened rides took tickets.

I have the map/brochure from my first trip in February 1972. Did you know Country Bear Jamboree is an E ticket attraction?
I want to get my hands on an original ticket book so bad. I didn't know that was an E-ticket ride!

I would suggest following Van Eaton Galleries on social media or signing up for their e-mail newsletter. They hold major Disney memorabilia auctions about once a year and you can watch live and bid online. They are SO fun! Some of the items are very expensive, but I've been able to snag some things like an original etching that was used for EP merchandise the year it opened, opening and pre-opening brochures, items from the '64-'65 World's Fair Pepsi/small world pavilion, etc. They just recently auctioned off the original map of Disneyland that Herb Ryman drew so Walt Disney could pitch the park to investors. It was amazing to watch! I've also found some good stuff on ebay!

That is a great suggestion! I am totally going to do this.
