Shouldn’t they start making some?

Well, they are making some - they're just not out yet. Marvel has a few animated series in the works, and there is Star Wars: The Clone Wars as well. Phineas & Ferb are getting a new movie. I am not sure what else. The Legend of the Three Caballeros, while it wasn't created specifically for D+, is currently on there and that is the first time it is available in the US.
